Dr. Patrick Guthrie, MD

Got a letter from dr. Guthrie saying he was leaving the practice. I tried to call the office repeatedly and no one ever answered nor was there a voicemail. I repeatedly called the office in Decatur to see what was going on and no one ever answered the phone there either. I kept getting a voicemail saying the office was closed for lunch even though it was 9 in the morning! I finally called scheduling to try to schedule another appointment and when someone finally called and asked me what I wanted even though I already told them when I wanted. I was told the office and Madison was now closed and I would have to go to Decatur. I said forget it I would find another doctor. I can't believe a practice can operate like that. Close the office not even inform people. Dr. Guthrie was fine but the staff at both offices was not anyting I would care to deal with again.

Hi we have been waiting 4 days for a call back from his office . I have called and left msgs( yesterday Spoke with actual staff member requesting assistance) for the past 3 days but no return call. I am starting to think my Mothers bladder cancer is not a priority to the practice which reflects on him.

Absolutely the best. Makes you feel like he cares for you like were a family member. Extremely patient as my wife and I can testify. We feel blessed to have him for my doctor

Dr Guthrie and his team got me in the same day, diagnosed that day and had me in for surgery 3 days later. He is a very down to earth man, he took whatever time was necessary to explain both my diagnosis and treatment. My community is very fortunate that he chose it to practice his craft here.

I have seen Dr. Guthrie several times. He listens well and takes time to explain things clearly. Discussing urological issues can be difficult but I felt comfortable with him. Dr. Guthrie is a very intelligent, kind and professional surgeon.

I took my 89 year old mom to Dr. Guthrie , and he was so kind to her and made sure she understood every thing he was going to do before he did it. I had a problem later and went to him and he treated me with respect and he was so kind and very professional.
