Biography: David Melendez is a board-eligible urologist with HCA Florida Osceola Urology. Using robotic surgery and other advanced treatments, Dr. Melendez cares for patients with diseases and conditions of the male urinary tract and reproductive system. Some of these include cancers of the kidney and prostate, incontinence, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico followed by an internship at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed his residency in general surgery and urology at New York University Medical Center in New York, NY, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Yu has been an active staff member at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT and New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. He also began a private practice in 1993, and since 2021, he has been a urologist at Nuvance Healthcare.
