Care Philosophy: Dr Guilherme Rabinowits is a Senior Member in the Department of Head and Neck-Endocrine Oncology. Dr Rabinowits received his MD degree from Fundacao Tecnico-Educacional Souza Marques, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Lahey Clinic and Medical Center, Burlington, Massachusetts, followed by a Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, where he also served as Chief Fellow. He then joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, as a Head and Neck Medical Oncologist until his move to Miami. Dr Rabinowits joins us from the Miami Cancer Institute, Department of Hematology/Medical Oncology.

Care Philosophy: Ahmad Tarhini, MD, PhD is an internationally recognized physician and leading researcher in Melanoma, Skin Cancers and Immuno-Oncology. Dr Tarhini is a Tenured Senior Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Departments of Cutaneous Oncology and Immunology. Dr Tarhini also serves as the Director of Cutaneous Clinical and Translational Research and leader of the Neoadjuvant and Adjuvant Translational Science Program. He is Professor of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr Tarhini also serves as Chair, Scientific Committee, Oncology Research Information Exchange Network (ORIEN) and Chair, ORIEN ImmunoOncology Research Subcommittee.

Care Philosophy: Over the past fifteen years, Dr Sokol's clinical and laboratory work has been focused on T-cell lymphomas and leukemias and rare lymphoproliferative and histiocytic disorders including Castleman disease, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, Hemophagocytic LymphoHistiocytosis, Rosai-Dorfman Disease, etc. He has participated in numerous clinical trials for T cell malignancies including pivotal studies with romidepsin and mogamulizumab. He also led clinical research in T-cell and NK-cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (LGL). Dr Sokol has been the Co-Director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Multidisciplinary Clinic for over 15 years. This clinic is the largest referral center for patients with cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL) in the southeastern U.S.

Biography: Dr. Robert Tawil, MD is a Dermatologist who practices in Tampa, FL. He is 71 years old and has been practicing for 43 years. Dr. Robert Tawil, MD is affiliated with HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital.

Care Philosophy: Dr Chung's laboratory was among the first to recognize the importance of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the etiology of certain HNC as seen in one of the four subtypes in our molecular characterization study. Specifically the research showed that the most significantly deregulated genes in the HPV-positive tumors are cell cycle regulators. These data provided evidence that HPV-positive tumors may be more sensitive to chemotherapy and molecular inhibitors that specifically target cell cycle. In addition, her research findings contributed to establish the prognostic implication of the HPV status. Patients with HPV-positive HNC have a better prognosis compared to patients with HPV-negative HNC.

Care Philosophy: Dr Andrew (Andy) Brohl is a medical oncologist and physician-scientist. His clinical interest is in the care of patients with a diagnosis of sarcoma or a cutaneous (skin) malignancy, including melanoma. Dr Brohl's laboratory research focuses on the utilization of genomics and other high-throughput technologies to learn more about rare cancers and for clinically translational applications. Examples of his current projects include genomic analysis of rare cancer subtypes, identification of drug targets from -omics datatypes, application of genomics for personalized cancer therapy, and development of non-invasive molecular profiling technology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Khushalani is the Vice Chair for the Department of Cutaneous Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Khushalani's clinical interest is the development of novel therapeutics for people diagnosed with melanoma and other skin cancers. He is greatly interested in the treatment of uveal melanoma, and melanoma that has metastasized to the brain. Dr Khushalani is interested in research on angiogenesis in melanoma and the translation of findings into clinical therapeutics.He is studying the economic impact of new melanoma drugs on healthcare (pharmacoeconomics) with an aim to devise strategies to reduce cost.Dr Khushalani earned his MD from Topiwala National Medical College, University of Bombay, in Maharashtra, India.
