Care Philosophy: Khaled Shahrour, MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive urologist who has been practicing for nearly 15 years. His main interests include urologic cancers, medical and surgical management of kidney stones, general urology and minimally invasive surgery including prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy. He is also a member of the American Urologic Association, Endourologic Society, and South Eastern Section of the American Urologic Association. Dr. Shahrour believes the best outcome in treatment of urological disorders is the result of a team-based approach and effctive communication with his patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and stays active playing soccer, squash and golf. He is also an avid fan of Chelsea Football Club. Dr. Shahrour is also multilingual in English, Arabic, Spanish and French.

Care Philosophy: David DiPiazza, M.D., is certified with the American Board of Urology since 2006. He is the only Urologist in Pinellas and Pasco who is also Board Certified in Urogynecology. In 2010 he was Chief of Surgery. He completed his undergraduate training with honors of cum laude at Cornell University. His residency training included: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Princeton Medical Center. With 6 years of formal surgical training in New Jersey his experience includes all aspects of Urologic cancer, male and female urology, and robotic surgery. He takes care of diverse problems: from male problems with urination (BPH) to female overactive bladder (OAB) and urinary incontinence to kidney stones, UTI s and male and female Urologic cancer. He also performs a no needle no scalpel vasectomy in the office. Dr. DiPiazza was the first Urologist to break new ground in the use of the da Vinic Robotic Surgical System in Pasco County. Dr. DiPiazza performs robotic sacrocolpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse (dropped bladder or rectum), prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, radical cystectomy, and many other surgeries using the robot. Care Philosophy: I aim to provide the best care to patients in the least invasive fashion by combining my unique training in urology and interventional radiology. I also do not believe in using opioids and believe their harms far outweigh the benefits. I have performed over five hundred major and minor surgeries without the use of opioids after surgery. In almost all cases, patient outcomes and satisfaction were higher and overall pain levels were lower than those managed with opioids.
