His philosophy of patient care is to provide exceptional care for all urologic conditions while understanding non-urologic conditions may influence a treatment plan. He plans to work closely with primary care physicians and other specialists in order to deliver comprehensive medical care.

It is my responsibility and duty as a surgeon to inform my patients of all their treatment options so that we can work together to accomplish a desired goal. This includes educating them on their diagnosis and informing them of all surgical and non-surgical options available so that we can come to decision together on the best treatment plan for their condition. I always take time to listen to my patients so that I can get a better understanding of their needs. I strive provide the best surgical care by using the least invasive techniques available to allow patient a faster recovery and shorter hospital stay.

Biography: Dr. Matt Sorensen was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. He attended The University of Florida and graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery training at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Sorensen has comprehensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including the use of advanced laparoscopic procedures and the da Vinci robot for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and various other urologic conditions. Further training includes male and female urinary dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and men's health.

Biography: Dr. Gerard Curtis, MD is an Urology Specialist who practices in Sarasota, FL. He is 63 years old and has been practicing for 33 years. Dr. Gerard Curtis, MD is affiliated with HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.

Care Philosophy: A native of Connecticut, Dr Poch entered Brown University as an undergraduate in the Program of Liberal Medical Education. He graduated with a BA in Biology from Brown University and went on to complete medical school at Brown Medical School. He stayed in Providence, Rhode Island at Brown University to complete his urology residency training.After residency he moved to Buffalo, New York to complete a Society for Urologic Oncology accredited urologic oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. His clinical interests include bladder, kidney and prostate cancer with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery and robotics.
