Biography: My passion for helping people, my love of science and my penchant for building meaningful relationships led me to a career in medicine. Internal medicine, with its focus on managing adult health conditions and fostering deep relationships, has been the perfect fit for me. In addition, I've been honored with multiple "Top Doctor" awards from Charlotte Magazine and Business North Carolina. \n I've been married to - and supported by - my wife of over 30 years, who's a full-time mental health counselor and owner of Triple Play Farm, where she guides patients through equine-facilitated psychotherapy. We have three sons: Jake, who served in the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps; Ben, who leads cybersecurity for a Charlotte startup; and Sam, who will work in military intelligence for the U.S. Army upon college graduation.
