Care Philosophy: Dr Pinilla-Ibarz has been at Moffitt since 2006 and holds the rank of Senior Member and Head of Lymphoma Section in the Department of Malignant Hematology. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz received the 2016-17 Moffitt Physician of the Year Award. He was also the recipient of the ASCO young investigator award in 2003 and the ASCO career development award in 2007. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz is nationally and internationally known for his expertise in chronic leukemia and he currently has over 120 peer-reviewed publications. He has received grant support through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also from multiple industry partners. His clinical interests include chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphoid leukemia.

Care Philosophy: Gustavo Rivero, MD, is a dual fellowship-trained hematology and medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic leukemia. Dr Riveros areas of clinical expertise includes: acute and chronic myeloid leukemias, acute lymphoid leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative neoplasm, and clonal hematopoiesis of indetermined potential (CHIP).

Care Philosophy: Dr Rachid Baz is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist who came to Moffitt in 2008 from Cleveland Clinic. Currently, Dr Baz is the Myeloma Section Head in the Department of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center and co-Director of the Pentecost Family Myeloma Research Center. He has developed a special expertise in managing patients with plasma cell disorders such as multiple myeloma, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), plasmacytoma, primary systematic amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (WM). Among other awards, he was the recipient of the Junior Clinical Science Award at Moffitt, and the University of South Florida Outstanding Resident Teaching Award.

Care Philosophy: Dr Asim Aijaz is a board certified oncologist and internal medicine physician He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship training in hematology oncology at New York Medical College Westchester Medical Center where he received commendations for outstanding clinical skills and was named both administrative Chief Resident and administrative Chief Fellow He received his medical degree from The Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi Pakistan Dr Aijaz is a member of the American Board of Medical Oncology the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Clinical Oncology He is a highly respected researcher in the areas of hematology and oncology having published multiple studies in the literature Awards amp Recognition American Board of Medical Oncology and a highly respected teacher researcher in areas of hematology and oncology

Care Philosophy: Dr Bijal Shah is an Associate Member in the Department of Malignant Hematology. Dr Shah's primary clinical interests are in Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas (particularly mantle cell lymphoma) and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As an internist and pediatrician, Dr Shah also has a special interest in adolescent and young adult malignant hematology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Michael Jain is an Associate Member and ICE-T Medical Director in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy. Dr Jain earned his MD and PhD at McGill University in Montrv©al, in the province of Quv©bec, Canada. His PhD in Cell Biology was completed under the supervision of Dr John Bergeron. Dr Jain completed an Internal Medicine Residency and a Hematology Residency at the University of Toronto. He completed a Clinician Scientist Training Program and Clinical Fellowship in Lymphoma and Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation at Princess Margaret Cancer Center, University of Toronto.
