Care Philosophy: ``I like to form a partnership with my patients. I frequently tell them my job is to give you the treatment options, to help you understand what's going on with your body. From there I work to understand the issue, how it is affecting their life, and what their goals and aspirations are as that is a very important part of the decision-making process from an orthopedic standpoint.``

Care Philosophy: ``I focus on a team approach with my patients. I always tell my joint replacement patients that I have about an hour to do their hip or knee, that's about how long it takes. After that I'm their cheerleader. I'm controlling some of the aspects of their physical therapy but otherwise I'm just a friend that's trying to help them along. I also work to educate patients in the process, so they have the knowledge they need to fully understand their condition and how to improve it going forward.``

Often I will work to establish that comfort by building a relationship with my patients outside of medicine. I first want to know who they are and then I want to know all of their medical problems, including what their history is, what their medicines are and what role stress or diet plays in their life. We put all of this together to figure out how can we really optimize their total health.``
