Biography: Dr. Patel graduated from M.S. University Medical School in 1983. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Woodhull Medical Center, New York in 1988, and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Cook County Hospital, Chicago, in 1991. Dr. Patel is practicing in the West Pasco and Hernando county area since 1991. He has been treating Pulmonary, Sleep Disorders, and providing Critical Care of complex medical and surgical patients in affiliated area hospitals.

Care Philosophy: The board certified surgeons at Suncoast Surgical Associates, P.A. have accrued over twenty five years of experience caring for general and thoracic surgical patients. Providing the highest quality of care to our patients is of paramount importance. This begins with a thorough pre-operative assessment during which all options including non-operative approaches are explored and given full consideration. For those patients who require surgery, we strive to provide the safest, most advanced operative techniques. These include complex laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and cutting edge robotic interventions. Care Philosophy: Sudhir Kalaskar, MD is a general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery. Dr. Kalaskar was inspired to specialize in colon and rectal surgery by the pioneers he has trained with. He developed a special interest in minimally invasive surgery as it provides the best outcomes to the patient with shorter hospital stay and less post-operative pain.

Care Philosophy: Dr Ronica Nanda is an Assistant Member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Nanda will be located at Morton Plant Mease Hospital where she will support the partnership between Moffitt and BayCare. Dr Nanda received her MD from the University of Florida. She completed a Radiation Oncology Residency at Emory University, where she also served as Chief Resident. She recently completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Proton Therapy at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville. Dr Nanda's clinical interest is the treatment of breast cancers, lung cancers, brain tumors, and sarcomas.
