Biography: Anthony R. Tascone, M.D., FACS,specializes in general surgery and bariatric surgery at ChristianaCare. Dr. Tascone earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. He completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care and a fellowship in bariatric/minimally invasive surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Tascone specializes in bariatric surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and revisional bariatric surgery. His practice also includes foregut surgery, with a focus on the treatment of achalasia, gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD), and hiatal and diaphragmatic hernias.
