Biography: Jami J. Barnard, M.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, and her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, in El Paso, Texas. She is a licensed OB/GYN who was twice awarded "Outstanding Teaching Resident" and has been a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society since 2012.An active volunteer in the community, Dr. Barnard's interests include educating women on preventative healthcare, providing care at various health fairs and clinics and instructing childbirth education classes. She is a Junior Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the author of multiple publications on a wide range of women's health issues.Dr. Barnard enjoys exploring her new home of San Antonio with her husband and daughter. Her hobbies include backpacking, traveling and spending time outdoors.

Care Philosophy: Our physicians are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of female disorders. We are equipped to perform anything from annual well women exams, including family planning to hormone management, to diagnostic procedures, minimally invasive surgery and other advanced procedures, which may be indicated. Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds, or sonograms, are conveniently performed in our Medical Center office by one of our experienced, registered sonographers. Biography: Molly Shields, M.D., was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity University, San Antonio, then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2013.Dr. Shields provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care including routine and high risk prenatal care, well-woman exams and preventative care, contraceptive counseling and management, minimally invasive surgery and management of abnormal bleeding and menopausal symptoms. She delivers her patients at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital.Dr. Shields lives with her husband and two young sons. Her hobbies include photography, scuba diving and cooking for her family and friends.

Biography: Allison R. Cavazos, MD, is a dedicated gynecologist in San Antonio, Texas. She joined the Oak Hills Women's Center, P.A. family in 2017 after completing her Obstetrics-Gynecology program at Parkland Hospital, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. Always a stellar student, Dr. Cavazos initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, where she received highest honors for Academic Achievement. After receiving her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2013, she went on to complete a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. Dr. Cavazos quickly became a well-regarded resident at Parkland Hospital, a prestigious OB/GYN training program in the United States, before winning the residency award for Excellence in Pediatric Gynecology. Since joining the tight-knit family practice, she has been a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association. Dedicated to her patients, Dr. Cavazos is available to see all age groups and cater to those with gynecological needs.
