While at SUNY Downstate, Dr. Stoler also did basic science research on keratinocytes (skin cells) and the production of nitric oxide. Dr. Stoler completed her Dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital, Illinois, in 2007. At Cook County she cared for a diverse patient population, saw a wide range of diseases, and had an extensive hands-on experience. She has been an active member of the Chicago Dermatology Society, presenting on laser therapy, vasculitis, and other case reports. Dr. Stoler joined AboutSkin after practicing for 4 years in a large dermatology group in metropolitan Chicago. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Stoler was honored with a Patient's Choice Award (a rating for doctors, per patient review) in 2009. Originally from Westchester, New York, Dr. Stoler decided to stay in Chicago following her dermatology residency.
