Biography: Dr. Richard Conley is originally from Canton, OH but now resides in Blacksburg, VA. He completed his undergraduate degree from Kent State University, followed by podiatric school at KSUCPM Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Conley completed his foot and ankle training with a residency at University Hospitals Regional Medical Centers.Dr. Conley is very passionate about the field of podiatry and its unique specialty in medicine. He grew up in Salem and returned with his family in 1991 to practice orthopedics. Dr. Waldrop's medical training began at the University of Virginia, followed by orthopedic training at Emory University in Atlanta. To further his knowledge in orthopedics, Dr. Waldrop participated in a fellowship in shoulder/sports medicine at the University of Miami. Dr. Waldrop also maintains the honor of being a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Waldrop chose to focus his practice on orthopedics because it gives him the ability to treat patients of all ages and life stages. In addition, orthopedics allows him to treat a specific problem and usually make a significant improvement in a patient's life which is very gratifying.
