Disappointing
Very disrespectful. More concerned with their own ego than trying to understand patients. I received a call to speak about a referral and was interrupted - then given the definition of a rheumatologist. He expressed that I shouldn’t be telling him what a rheumatologist does. I asked for the call to be documented. He insisted I speak with patient advocacy. When reading over the call notes, the nurse and Dr. Bankole maliciously twisted wording and noted things incorrectly to make it seem as if I was the issue

Don't waste your time.
Hard enough to get an appointment waiting over 6 months. Spent less than 5 min in the room. Didn't even physically examine me. Go across town to see a Rhematologist. Don't waste your time here.

Terrible
My daughter and I walked out in tears on the second visit. For some reason this doctor is totally different if there is a male in the room. On the first visit, my husband went with us and the doctor was good and fine. It was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the second visit! A friend of mine also went to see him and she said the exact same thing. Her husband went the first visit and everything was good. The second visit she went alone and said he was totally different. I do not know why but I feel like to do the right thing I need to warn others.

What a nutty visit we had today. He makes up "facts" and then contradicts himself in the next breath. No help at all with my autoimmune conditions.

One of the biggest blessings I've ever had in life. Anyone who has mentioned "condescending"or "arrogant" in their reviews are misinterpreting his vast knowledge and strict care guidelines as negativity. He is confident in his decisions and regimens and I appreciate his honesty. He is not afraid to explain the risks of medications and your current mistakes in recovery. Whenever he is explaining the facts he brings you over to his computer where he shares the research and evidence with you like you're on his level. He is always quick to respond to messages, and even when in-person visits stopped during the pandemic his compassion continued to shine through on video calls and he went out of his way to make sure my mental well-being was healthy as well. I would be no where without him.

He told me I didn't have an autoimmune disease and 6 months later I went to another rheumatologist who is finally treating me. I was almost wheelchair bound because of this guy who is arrogant and belittling. Shows you diagnosis on Google that obviously you have probably already looked up yourself. What a quack!

Excellent doctor! I don’t believe the people with the negative reviews are rating the correct doctor. He’s SUPER nice, VERY knowledge and EXTREMELY professional. He’s very thorough on his diagnosis as well as what medications he prescribes. Unlike most doctors of today, he takes his time with you and doesn’t make you feel like a number. I highly recommend him!

How do I put this politely? If you are experiencing complex health issues that are not easily identified using a simple blood test, then DO NOT go see this guy. He was one of the most (if not THE most) arrogant doctors I have ever encountered. He seemed offended that I wasn't willing to put up with his Google diagnosis shenanigans. My appointment with him consisted of him telling me that the referring doctor was a liar (so I could be seen sooner) and being shown the definition of "Fibromyalgia" using a Google search. He kept saying "personal beliefs are left at the door", but was persistent in sharing his personal beliefs about Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Dysautonomia, etc. When I called him out on his belittling tone, he told me it was his English accent that was giving me trouble. I know the difference between an accent and an arrogant nature; the latter was his issue. I could not get a word in with him and was told that I was wasting my time pursuing specialists. For som

My experience is he treated me like I was a complete idiot. If I used a medical term like autoimmune or inflammation he looked the term up on the computer in front of me and read me the definition. Very belittling !!!
