Biography: A native of Canada, Dr. Tandon is a Phi Beta Kappa cum laude graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, where he received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences. He received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten. Dr. Tandon completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Providence Hospital and Medical Center in Southfield, Michigan, affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where he served as chief resident. While completing a fellowship in gastroenterology, he received additional training in ERCP, an advanced endoscopy procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the biliary and pancreatic ducts. Dr. Tandon has been published in the International Journal of Collaborative Research on Internal Medicine & Public Health and was invited to present at the American College of Physicians' national meeting. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Tandon has a special interest in liver diseases and treatment of hepatitis C. Dr. Tandon joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2017.
