Care Philosophy: For over a decade I have been taking care of people with lymphoma. At the end of every visit, I want people to know that I have taken the time to develop the plan that is the best for them. I am fortunate to work in a center where cancer care specialists can work along side experts in every field of medicine to care for the whole person. We are working every day to develop better treatments and integrate them into clinical practice. We have been involved in the development of virtually every drug approved for treatment of lymphoma over the past 15 years, including targeted therapies and immunotherapy. In our labs and our clinics we are developing the drugs of the future. We have made a lot of progress in the way lymphoma is diagnosed and treated, and I am determined to continue developing more effective, less toxic therapies.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Pri-Paz has stated that the move to join the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College under the guidance of Dr. Frank Chervenak, the Department Chair, is a natural one for him. Dr. Pri-Paz believes in working with his patients to develop a relationship centered around the primary focus of their health. He strives to accomplish this by open communication--listening to patients' needs and providing them with the necessary information and care--so they can make the best possible choices and receive the best possible care.

Care Philosophy: I have expertise in stem cell / bone marrow transplantation, with over 25 years of experience in this field. I am the Associate Director of the Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Program of New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell. and the Service Chief of the inpatient BMT clinical service. I have major interests in improving the overall safety and effectiveness of transplantation. I also have significant experience in the management of hematological malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia, as well as aplastic anemia. I enjoy teaching residents and fellows management of patients undergoing transplantation and I have published articles in this field. I also review articles for medical journals relating to stem cell transplantation.I am involved in multiple research trials related to BMT, both as a principal and co investigator and I have represented NYP Weill Cornell at the Cancer Alliance Clinical Trials Group, the Myeloproliferative Disease Research group, and the BMT Clinical Trials Network. However, my main love is caring for patients; I enjoy meeting them, guiding them through the transplant process, and having a true doctor patient relationship. I am committed to providing the best possible, state of the art care for my patients, with clear explanations and ongoing personal support through difficult situations.

Care Philosophy: "Helping bring healthy babies into this world is a truly amazing experience." Dr. Robin Kalish believes that educating her patients is an important part of her job. Pregnancy is a time when people are willing to make positive changes in their lives. They are more apt to exercise, change their diet, give up smoking, deal with stress, work on their relationships, and build up their support systems. Dr. Robin Kalish strives to help her patients choose healthier lifestyles and behaviors and have healthier pregnancies. "Obstetrics is a rewarding field of medicine. Care Philosophy: Our lymphoma group practice provides specialized and multidisciplinary care in the setting of a leading medical institution for patients with all types of lymphomas. We strive to deliver the best possible standard of care, and take pride in our comprehensive clinical research program that provides access to state-of-the-art novel agents and combination treatments that continue to transform care for lymphoma patients, often years before they become widely available elsewhere. With a research background in tumor immunology and vascular medicine, my clinical research has been focused on developing new immunotherapy-based treatments that target the tumor microenvironment for a variety of lymphoma subtypes, including rare diseases such as mantle cell lymphoma and T-cell lymphoma. Another focus of mine is to develop low-intensity biologic-based treatments that minimize side effects and maximize quality-of-life. I believe in personalized, compassionate, and informed care that is tailored to each individual patient's needs.

Biography: Dr. Cigler received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College, and her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She also holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Dana-Farber Harvard Cancer Center. Dr Cigler joined the Cornell faculty in August 2007 as a medical oncologist and clinical investigator at the Weill Cornell Breast Center.
