Dr Sam received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor. She completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr Sam's primary clinical interest is the treatment of cancer in older patients and developing care plans tailored to their individual needs. Her focus is the treatment of breast, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary malignancies.

Care Philosophy: Dr Vania Phuoc is an Assistant Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Medical Oncology and practices at Moffitt at Wesley Chapel. Dr Phuoc received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow for the James A Haley Veterans' Hospital. Dr Phuoc's clinical focuses are benign and malignant hematology and breast cancers.

He has a special interest in the care of older adults with these diseases and also leads the Leukemia Program here at Moffitt, where he has built a large portfolio of clinical trials for patients with AML and MDS. Dr Lancet completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of Rochester (New York), before relocating to Moffitt Cancer Center in 2004.

She is particularly interested in identifying ways to deliver care that maximizes resource utilization and achieves superior patient satisfaction.
