If you have a lot of time to waste then this is the Dr. foryou. I called and was left on hold for 45 minutes until I finally hung up. When you go for an appointment they put you in a room and you wait for 15 to 20 minutes before someone comes in.

Still waiting
Doctor's visit went great, iron infusions ordered. I have waited 5 weeks now, even had to cancel my follow up appointment as the office staff has yet to get their act together for authorization of medication. The office manager advised initially the reason nothing had happened yet is because the treatment was not covered under my insurance (untrue). The office manager does not appear to know what she is doing, I put her on a three-way call with a specialty pharmacy four weeks after my infusions were ordered only for them to tell her they had nothing on file, and that she was not following the correct process. I called today, and she asked if my pharmacy had called (they had not, as nothing was submitted to them), stated I told her OptumRX was not my pharmacy, this was a lie. It is now going on six weeks, no authorization or attempt to gain one has been submitted to ANY pharmacy, and the office manager wants ME to do the authorization work that was never done in the first place.

I first met Dr. Al-Hassani in 2016 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 non Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer located in my liver and he was and still is an amazing oncologist. He especially helped me when a tumor was found in my brain in 2017. He is very encouraging and his staff at the Hemotology Oncology clinic are amazing also they helped make the chemo treatments bearable. I'm so thankful to him and his staff and sadly I will be leaving Florida soon and one of the things I'll miss is Dr. Al-Hassani and his staff. And yes I would recommend my family to this oncologist. I'm 2 years in remission now and if God forbid my cancer comes back I'll definitely come back to Florida just to get my treatments from Dr. Al-Hassani and this clinic. Thank you all for the support and care you gave me 4 years ago and for the care you have given me this year 2021.

I couldn’t have endured three years of chemotherapy treatment without the guidance, encouragement, and expertise of Dr. Al-Hassani. He is the most dedicated and knowledgeable doctor I have met. He always answered my questions directly and in a way that I understood all the medical jargon. All my health decisions were made only after I consulted him first. I trust Dr. Al-Hassani with my life.

He did nothing to ensure my grandmother was in good hands. Went against the ethics code of typical doctors on being upfront about their patients health. He’s the reason my grandmother is dead and I’ll never see her again. I BEG YOU IF YOU OR A LOVED ONE IS SUFFERING FROM AND SORT OF CANCER, BREAST CANCER ESPECIALLY - STAY AWAY FROM DR AL HASSANI. I will vow to do everything I can for him to be stripped from his licenses. Did NOTHING to help my grandmother and lied at that. My heart will be forever sore because of this man and I’ll fill out every review to ensure that he does not have access to fragile patients, especially with cancer.

He saved my life 20 years ago! Best doctor I could have ever had! He spent over an hour with me and my husband at my first appointment explaining treatment and giving me hope that my other doctors hadn’t given. I believe that hope and his decisions on my treatment saved me from cancer. ( non- Hodgkin lymphoma). I live in Colorado now, my young children are now grown... but I think of him often and how he helped me. Also, the nurses and office team were amazing!!! They would hold and play with my little 1 year old baby when I had my appointments. I cannot thank him enough for all that he did for me and my family!

I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I have been a few times and I would say that in my opinion that I’m not sure anyone in the office cares about their patients. The primary function seems to be to collect payments. The office always over- books and nobody goes out of their way to provide any customer service. Heaven forbid you need something that won’t allow them to extract money from you. They are not prepared for your appointment and the entire experience is that of an assembly line. If you like just being a number or a co-pay than this is the place for you. The Covid virus has driven home these facts for me- this practice could not care less about you.

Not friendly staff, lack of communication. Alan, the nurse, can be very rude and disrespectful. Treatment that needs to be done every 2 weeks is put off for 2 months and they won't tell you the reason why. I've been calling on behalf of my relative who is not conscious anymore and they won't give any basic information, but when they had to tell me everything about her health condition and see what kind of medicine we would choose for our relative, they were all over us giving us all kind of information. We would change doctors as soon as we can. We cannot trust them.

If I could rate a 0, I would! I tried, unsuccessfully, for 3 days in a row, to make an appointment with Dr Alhassani. You have to leave your information on a voicemail and someone will get back to you "by the end of the business day". Well here it is, 3 business days later, and still no call. This is no way to run a medical practice, especially when one's health is on the line. Hiring a staff to actually answer the phone and schedule appointments might be a helpful practice to adopt, if you are truly interested in seeing patients.

I honestly would not recommend this Practice to anyone. My Mother-in-law was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June, it is now August and she is just getting her first Chemotherapy and it is August 8. I work with a large Organization and I am part of the Cancer Center and have worked in Oncology since 2011. The staff with this Practice is very unprofessional, not patient friendly or patient first. The staff are probably the most dysfunctional and inefficient I have ever encountered.

I can't say enough good about Dr. Al-Hassani and his staff. They care so much and they truly listen to you. They will bust their butts to get whatever it is you need. I love how Dr. A will always ask "how are you feeling" and he just looks at you and listens. Those ladies at the front desk are amazing. Jasmine, Chrissie, Gina, and so on. If we needed an outpatient appt at the hospital, they were right on it, and could often get us in within 24 hours. Ana one of the nurses is phenomenal.

I'm 24 years old and saw Dr. Alhassani for Hodgkin's lymphoma. I was there on a VERY regular basis for abvd chemotherapy biweekly, monthly dr. appointments, and granix shots constantly (for 14 days each month towards the end of chemo), for about 7 months. I'm now in remission and only need to see him every three months! I am a very anxious person and he always made time to answer my questions, even when I didn't have an appointment. The staff is great too and genuinely care about the patients!!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Alhassani, he was very nice and listened to what i had to say. Although my visit was due to finding another IV inf. center for Multiple Sclerosis that was closer than St Pete, my husband and i really liked Dr.Alhassini. God forbid ,if any of my relatives or friends need a Blood /Cancer Dr., i would recommend them to him.The front desk is lacking ,never said hello when i signed in although I did, or gave me papers to fill out,had to ask after a few min.
