Care Philosophy: Dr Richard Levine is the Medical Director at Moffitt International Plaza (MIP). Dr Levine received his MD and MS in Pharmacology from Indiana University. He joins Moffitt from Space Coast Cancer Center, where he served as President and founder. Care Philosophy: Dr Bruna Pellini is an Assistant Member at the Department of Thoracic Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute and an Assistant Professor at Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. She specializes in the care of patients diagnosed with lung cancer. Dr Pellini received her medical degree from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and completed her internal medicine residency at University of Central Florida College of Medicine followed by her medical oncology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Care Philosophy: Dr Daniel Anaya is a Senior Member, Chief of GI Surgery and Head of Hepatobiliary Section in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology, at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Anaya is a fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist with a particular focus on the surgical treatment of patients with liver malignancies (primary and metastatic) and neuroendocrine tumors. His academic interest focus on improving the quality of cancer care and implementing models to improve the delivery of care for patients with complex cancers. He is an expert in developing academic programs that facilitate delivery of the highest quality of care, while also provide a framework to support research and innovation in the field of cancer and surgery.

Care Philosophy: Dr Chahoud completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and completed his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr Chahoud's clinical and research includes advanced kidney and penile cancers. He's fluent in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Care Philosophy: Dr Jason W Denbo is an Assistant Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology. Dr Denbo earned his MD degree at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a General Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a Research Fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Dr Denbo received fellowship training in both Complex General Surgical Oncology and Advanced Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to his recruitment to Moffitt, Dr Denbo served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota.

Care Philosophy: Dr Jessica Frakes is an Associate Member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr Frakes completed her Radiation Oncology Residency at the University of South Florida / Moffitt Cancer Center. Her clinical expertise encompasses the use of radiation therapy to help patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, rectal and anal cancer.

Care Philosophy: For patients undergoing surgery, whenever possible, Dr Malafa uses minimally invasive approaches. He's experienced at performing robotic whipple, robotic distal pancreatectomy, robotic colectomy and robotic liver resections. In addition to Dr Malafa's time in the clinic and operating room, he continues to work in research and is a Senior Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology and the Chemical Biology and Molecular Medicine Program at Moffitt. As a physician-scientist, he is enthusiastically investigating novel approaches to prevent pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Iswanto Sucandy is a highly experienced board-certified surgeon with dual fellowship training in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, as well as Advanced Gastrointestinal Minimally Invasive Surgery. He primarily specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for disorders of the liver.

Care Philosophy: Dr Khushalani is the Vice Chair for the Department of Cutaneous Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Khushalani's clinical interest is the development of novel therapeutics for people diagnosed with melanoma and other skin cancers. He is greatly interested in the treatment of uveal melanoma, and melanoma that has metastasized to the brain. Dr Khushalani is interested in research on angiogenesis in melanoma and the translation of findings into clinical therapeutics.He is studying the economic impact of new melanoma drugs on healthcare (pharmacoeconomics) with an aim to devise strategies to reduce cost.Dr Khushalani earned his MD from Topiwala National Medical College, University of Bombay, in Maharashtra, India.

Care Philosophy: Dr Peguero received his MD from Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. He completed a neurology residency at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. After completing his residency, Dr Peguero completed a fellowship in epilepsy and EEG at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After his fellowship, Dr Peguero was employed at The Watson Clinic, Department of Neurology, Lakeland, Florida, where he also served as Chief of Service of Neurology at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr Peguero was an Assistant Professor at Ponce School of Medicine, and most recently, he has worked in private practice. Dr Peguero's clinical interest is in General Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Jonathan Strosberg is a professor at Moffitt Cancer Center specializing in the management of neuroendocrine malignancies. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency and fellowship training programs at Georgetown University Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center. He leads Moffitt's Neuroendocrine Tumor Division and Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology Research Program. Dr Strosberg has published over 150 articles on the diagnosis and management of neuroendocrine malignancies, with first-author publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research and other major journals.
