Biography: Daniel S. O'Connor, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, Co-director of the Center for CardioOncology, Cardiologist for the Aortic Program and Cardiac Intensivist at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. His areas of expertise include consultative cardiology, critical care cardiology, and non-invasive imaging. Dr. O'Connor is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. Dr. O'Connor received his PhD studying vascular and cancer cell biology within the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University. He then received his MD degree at The State University of New York at Brooklyn Medical Center (SUNY Downstate). Dr. O'Connor was an Intern, Resident and Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He then completed his training as a Fellow and Chief Fellow in cardiovascular medicine at Columbia University Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Laighold was born and raised in New York City and attended high school near Weill Cornell. He then completed his medical training as well as a Masters of Health Sciences at Yale School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his subspecialty training in Cardiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center, and underwent further subspecialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at both NYP-Cornell and NYP-Columbia. Dr. Lu has co-authored numerous research papers in medicine and cardiology and maintains an active research interest investigating outcomes of treatment for heart failure and cardiogenic shock.

Biography: Dr. Homan completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at NewYork-Presbyterian/Cornell, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and undertook an additional year of laboratory training in cardiometabolic biology with Dr. James Lo. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, before which he received his M.D. degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to medical school he earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University and received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville.Dr. Homan's research has focused on understanding the relationship between obesity and cardiovascular disease. During his cardiology fellowship at Weill Cornell, he studied the role of the innate immune system in obesity-related liver disease and heart failure, and he received the Glorney-Raisbeck Fellowship Award in Cardiovascular Disease. In his PhD research at Harvard University, he discovered a new class of endogenous lipid molecules that he named fatty acyl hydroxy fatty acids (FAHFAs), which were ultimately found to have anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory properties.Dr. Homan is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and a member of the National Lipid Association, and member of the American Society of Echocardiography. He also speaks Spanish and French.

Biography: Dr. Feldman is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology of the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Feldman grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, completed Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, where she completed the Clinician Educator Track, fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine, and an additional fellowship in Cardio-Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After training, she founded and directed the Cardio-Oncology and Cardiac Amyloidosis programs at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School/University Hospital. In 2023, she joined the Cardiology Division at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College as a full-time faculty member where she provides expertise in cardio-oncology, cardiac imaging, and medical education. She serves as the Director of the Cardio-Oncology program.Dr. Feldman is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardio-Oncology. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a member of the American Heart Association, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the International Society of Cardio-Oncology.

Biography: Dr. McDonald graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in biology. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. McDonald remained at NYU after graduating from medical school to complete his internal medicine residency training there. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Biography: Alexandra Tuluca, MD, is the Associate Chief of Cardiac Surgery for Einstein Montgomery. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and completed her general surgery training at Temple University Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Texas Heart Institute/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Tuluca is dual-board-certified in thoracic surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and her practice focus is minimally invasive and aortic surgery. She was recognized by the Pennsylvania Medical Society as a Pennsylvania Top Physician Under 40 in 2016.
