Biography: Dr. Cynthia Tsay is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital and a general gastroenterologist with a clinical and research interest in early gastric cancer, gastric intestinal metaplasia, and other conditions involving the stomach. She is interested in the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the risk stratification and early detection of premalignant lesions in high risk populations, as well as the role of the microbiome in these conditions and ways in which medications alter the gastrointestinal microbiome. She has published in Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics and the American Journal of Gastroenterology.She obtained her B.A. in the History of Science and the History of Medicine at Yale College and her M. Phil in the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science, Medicine, and Technology at the University of Cambridge. Dr. Tsay returned to New Haven where she earned her M.D. at the Yale School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. She also has a M.P.H in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where she served as chief fellow during her last two years.Dr. Tsay is also passionate about medical education and the experience of trainees, having served as president of the Yale Resident and Fellow Senate and the chair of the Johns Hopkins Clinical Fellows Council.

Biography: Danielle Nicolo, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from the University of Delaware and performed research in the Biotechnology industry prior to her career in medicine. She then earned a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology at Temple University with a focus on Cardiology and Autoimmunity. She received an M.D. degree from Temple University and also completed her residency there in 2009. Dr. Nicolo performed her fellowship training in Cardiology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has published several original papers as well as a textbook chapter on Cardiology and Autoimmunity. She was recognized by the American Heart Association Council on Clinical Cardiology with a Trainee Award for Excellence in 2011. Biography: Dr. Joseph Chang is a graduate of the Seven-Year Medical Program at Boston University and Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado where he was also chief resident. Dr. Chang also completed a fellowship in General Internal Medicine from Columbia University and holds a masters degree in epidemiology from their Mailman School of Public Health. From 2003 to 2012, Dr. Chang practiced at Columbia University Medical Center where he served as the Assistant Director of the Section of Hospital Medicine. He played an active role in the Medical House Staff Training Program as a clinician educator and also served as a Key Faculty Advisor for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Chang has received numerous teaching awards throughout his career including the prestigious Daniel V. Kimberg Memorial Junior Faculty Teaching Award from Columbia University Department of Medicine in 2009. Additionally, he was named a three-year recipient of the Ewig Clinical Scholar Award for dedication and excellence in clinical teaching in 2010.
