Care Philosophy: Patients are often faced with anxiety and uncertainty of disease management and outcomes, especially when diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Ramirez's care philosophy centers around compassionate guidance through patient education and individualized care. He believes that medicine should go beyond providing state-of-the-art diagnostic tests and treatments and, instead, should focus on the needs, desires and interests of each patient. His primary goal is educating his patients by explaining exactly what is going on, and describing step-by-step the options for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions.

Care Philosophy: Born in Nashville and raised nearby just outside Owensboro, KY, I have always planned to be a physician. I attended college at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology. I was accepted early at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and received honors in surgical and urology-related rotations. I was then accepted into residency at Indiana University Department of Urology, internationally known for treatment of stone disease and urological oncology. Following completion of residency, I decided to return south and joined Urology Associates in Nashville where I plan to continue to grow a thriving practice in urology.
