Biography: Erin Kate Cassiere, MD, FACOG, practices obstetrics and gynecology at WK Doctors for Women in Shreveport, Louisiana, as part of the Willis-Knighton Physician Network. Managing both high- and low-risk pregnancies is a special interest of Dr. Cassiere, as well as minimally invasive robotic surgeries. These advanced surgeries that require only three or four small punctures in the abdomen instead of a large, open cut are a huge benefit for patients. They often go home the same day as their surgery and recovery takes only a couple of weeks so patients can return to their normal routines quickly.In addition to advanced gynecologic procedures, Dr. Cassiere provides well-woman exams for teens and adult women on an annual basis.A native of Shreveport, Dr. Cassiere graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana and LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency in Indianapolis at Indiana University School of Medicine. She entered private practice in Utah before returning home to Shreveport.
