Biography: Dr. Maria Teaiwa-Rutherford is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford obtained a bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University and earned her medical degree at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident.Before joining Weill Cornell in 2021, Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford developed a thriving practice at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital (later Mount Sinai West), where she felt privileged to be a part of many women's lives through routine gynecological care and family planning to pregnancy and beyond. Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford was named a Top Doctor in the New York Magazine rising stars issue two years in a row and also received the Vitals Patients' Choice award. Born and raised in the Fiji Islands, Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford has a strong interest in promoting women's health in developing countries. She has partnered with international medical programs to provide free obstetric and gynecological care to women at hospitals in Fiji and Kiribati. In her spare time, Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford enjoys running and yoga. She lives in Westchester County with her husband and three children.

Biography: Dr. Chetna Arora is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a specialist in complex benign gynecologic surgery for the treatment of uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian pathology, and fertility surgery. Her AAGL-accredited fellowship provided Dr. Arora with the specialized training and expertise in the fields of advanced robotics, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Dr. Arora's primary goals are minimally-invasive approaches with a thoughtful focus on patient-centered care thus allowing the patient a quicker recovery, improved cosmesis, and greater patient satisfaction. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City accelerated School of Medicine, Dr. Arora completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota followed by a three-year minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at Columbia University. During her fellowship, she excelled surgically and academically. She was and remains highly research-oriented with numerous publications and awards, notably a prestigious scholarly Jay M. Cooper award from AAGL. She is also an Associate Program Director for the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery fellowship.

Biography: Dr. H. Beatrice Im is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in History and received her M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. After completing her residency, Dr. Im practiced and taught at Bugando Medical Center and the Weill-Bugando University College of Health Sciences in Mwanza, Tanzania. While there, she worked closely with local students and residents, focusing on improving emergency obstetrical care as well as working with local OB/GYN doctors to start programs in cervical cancer screening, emergency obstetric ultrasound, and laparoscopy. She returned to the United States with a deeper appreciation for female reproductive health care access. Since her return, Dr. Im has worked within the NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine systems in different capacities throughout the years. She now joins the company of her colleagues at the East 80th Street location as a generalist OB/GYN.Most of Dr. Im's time outside of work is occupied by running around after three little girls, a math teacher husband, and the Tanzanian village cat, Tom (her only boy). She also enjoys gardening and one day hopes to grow something edible.
