Biography: Jessica Marshall, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon. After earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, Dr. Marshall completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey. She then went on to complete fellowship training in invasive, bariatric and robotic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She has specialized training in DaVinci robotic surgical systems, LINX reflux management device surgery and minimally invasive bariatric surgery.

Care Philosophy: Physician Philosophy: Medicine is a fast evolving science with different aspects changing on a regular base. But there are also paradigms that have lasted many centuries. Primum non nocere - first, do no harm derived from the oath of Hippocrates in ancient Greece, this paradigm is still of utmost important for our patient care. We are here to help and to cure, avoiding harm to the patient at any cost. We strive to take care of the patient's physical illness, but we also thrive to address any emotional or social aspects coming with his illness. As surgeons, we inflict pain by our measures. We aim to manage the pain to the patient's satisfaction with the help of our colleagues, nurses and assistant medical personnel. Failure to do so will delay patient recovery and satisfaction.
