Biography: Tymwa Dixon, M.D. has a passion for family medicine. As a child, he became intrigued with the idea of caring for people of all ages. He pursued his goal of becoming a physician throughout his academic career, starting at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University and then his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed a residency in family medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Dr. Dixon has developed expertise in treating chronic diseases and acute disease states such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia; and is fully qualified to care for all patients from children to the elderly. Dr. Dixon and his wife have three children and make their home in Shreveport.

Biography: Sophia Shokouh Amiri was born in Shiraz, Iran. She and her family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, in the 1980s. She attended McNeese State University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and, later, at LSU Shreveport for her undergraduate education.. She completed medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, followed by a Family Medicine residency at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
