Biography: Donald "Raj" Woolever, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with Appledore Family Medicine and Pediatrics, an academic medicine clinic, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He is affiliated with Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he serves as the program director of the Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Woolever earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, and completed his residency training at the David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, California, where he served as chief resident. Following his residency, he fulfilled a fellowship at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In addition, Dr. Woolever served in the United States Air Force and also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.Dr. Woolever is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has more than 25 years of experience in practicing medicine. He provides primary care services to the whole family, caring for patients of all ages. In addition to his practice, Dr. Woolever has served numerous academic appointments at various universities and currently serves as clinical professor of Family Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and University of Vermont School of Medicine. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters related to the field of family medicine.Dr. Woolever is married to his wife who is also a family physician. They have two adult children who live in Nevada and London, England. He is a runner and has run seven marathons and one ultra-marathon. She is an attending physician as part of the Family Medicine Residency program affiliated with Portsmouth Regional Hospital and Tufts University. In this role, Dr. Hovsepian supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders.Dr. Hovsepian earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She then completed her residency training at Albany Family Medicine in Albany, New York. Dr. Hovsepian also earned a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Hovsepian provides patients with comprehensive care for patients of all ages including preventative medicine services, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute conditions. In addition to English, she is fluent in Persian, conversational in French, and has medical language skills in Spanish. Dr. Hovsepian is a yoga instructor and Reiki master and enjoys seeing people realize the most radiant versions of themselves, being in nature, yoga, and quality time with herfamily.
