Biography: Robert A. Christian, MD, MBA, is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the operative and non-operative treatment of athletes of all ages and skill levels, including pediatric and adult patients. He is an expert in arthroscopic and open surgery of the hip and knee. Dr. Christian is interested in arthroscopic hip preservation, focusing on femoroacetabular impingement, labral tears, proximal hamstring injuries, and complex knee pathologies, focusing on cartilage restoration, meniscus injuries, and ligament reconstruction. He also serves as Head team Physician at Iona University. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Christian received a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2015. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University, where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Brian J. Hartigan, MD, Memorial Award. While in residency, Dr. Christian graduated from the University of Chicago with a Master's in Business Administration from the Booth School of Business. Following residency, Dr. Christian completed fellowships in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Hip Preservation at Duke University in Durham, NC. While there, he served as a team physician for Duke University basketball, football, and baseball teams. Throughout his training, Dr. Christian has been active in academic research, having published over 20 peer-reviewed articles on various topics related to hip arthroscopy, femoroacetabular impingement, quality improvement, value-based healthcare, and surgical techniques. His ongoing research projects focus on optimizing patient outcomes with a particular interest in complex hip and knee pathology. Dr. Christian also has a significant interest in resident and fellow education and mentorship. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). Outside of his practice, Dr. Christian enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and personal fitness.

Biography: Dr. Mariam Ashraf is a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in anesthesiology and pain medicine.Dr. Ashraf received her Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She then completed her anesthesiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University and served as chief resident. She went on to complete a Tri-Insitutional Pain Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering.

Biography: Alina Masters-Israilov completed her undergraduate studies at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College in New York. She then attended medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn where she also completed her intern year in internal medicine. She finished her neurology residency and served as chief resident at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She then joined the Montefiore Headache Center to pursue her headache and facial pain fellowship, before joining as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is the associate director for the neurology clerkship and the director for the headache elective for WCM medical students. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and of the American Headache Society, where she was recently awarded the "Frontiers in Headache Research" scholarship award for her research on the onabotulinumtoxinA wear-off phenomenon in chronic migraine.

He completed his Brain Injury Medicine & Rehabilitation fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine/Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, where he was awarded the Shirley Ryan Research Accelerator Program Quality Grant for his work on vestibular dysfunction after traumatic brain injury. While at Northwestern, he also completed specialty training in Medical Education through the Feinberg School of Medicine.A frequent presenter at conferences on neurologic rehabilitation, Dr. Edwards has contributed to numerous scientific journals on brain injury. While at the Texas Medical Center, he was the host and moderator of PMReport, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston's podcast exploring the latest trends and advances in the world of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Biography: Chima D. Nwankwo M.D., also called "Dr. Chima" by patients, colleagues, and hospital staff, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified (ABOS) orthopedic trauma surgeon practicing in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. He currently serves as the division head of orthopedic trauma Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University. Dr. Nwankwo completed an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California Berkeley and received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He completed a residency program in orthopedic surgery at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program (SFORP at St. Mary's Medical Center). He received fellowship training in orthopedic trauma surgery at Allegheny Health Network/Allegheny General Hospital, a regional Level-1 Trauma center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and completed an AO Trauma fellowship during the same year. Dr. Nwankwo has expertise in the orthopedic management of patients with life and limb-threatening injuries from accidents, falls, or assaults. Dr. Nwankwo is an expert in pelvic and acetabular surgery, hip fracture surgery, complex long bone injuries, periarticular reconstruction around major joints in the upper and lower extremity, nonunion and malunion fracture repair, traumatic limb deformity correction, management of neglected fractures, treatment of bone infections (osteomyelitis), and acute and elective hip replacements. He is also at the cutting edge of using minimally invasive/percutaneous treatments for treating broken bones. Biography: Dr. Nicholas Danford is an orthopedic trauma surgeon who treats people with orthopedic injuries. He loves to take care of his patients, working with the compassion and energy necessary for the best possible outcome. He graduated from Dartmouth College. His medical training was at Columbia University for medical school and orthopedic surgery residency, after which he completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle, Washington.

Care Philosophy: My care philosophy is centered on providing the most advanced and most dignified care to my patients. As a surgeon, central to my approach is to limit surgery to patients only if all other viable options have been exhausted, and the benefits of surgery outweigh the risks. If surgery is absolutely indicated, the most focused and most minimally-invasive approach is taken.
