My coaches and team doctor in Boston recommended I see Dr. Ahmad in NYC after I tore my UCL. My parents and I drove down to see him and it was the best decision we ever made. He is amazing. I am back on the mound and making progress daily, already two weeks ahead of schedule. Thank you Dr. Ahmad, & staff.

My son had ACL meniscus surgery on his left knee, March,12.2024. Since the surgery Dr. Ahmad saw him one time on his recovery process, my son plays division 1 baseball in charleston, south carolina. We set up an appointment 4 weeks in advance because we noticed some complications on his recovery process. My son traveled from charleston, south carolina to see Dr. Ahmad in New jersey, after waiting for more than an hour we get called to see Dr Ahmad we are waiting inside the doctor office around 7 minutes later we get the news Dr. Ahmad could not make it to his appointment. My son took a flight from charleston, south carolina to see him. One year after surgery he has to get another procedure done. He never called to keep up with his recovery process. I felt extremely destroyed because my son didn't want to continue seeing him anymore. Basically he is a Yankees surgeon doesn't mean anything. I would not recommend this doctor as per our experience. We were trying to communicate with him on my son progression but that was difficult

Awful experience!!
Terrible Experience! I saw him for years with shoulder issues. He gave me too many cortisone shots, which I later found out can cause deterioration in the rotator cuff, in anyone, but especially me who has connective tissue disease, which he was fully aware of. I requested shoulder replacement, which he said was more invasive and convinced me he could repair my issues. He then 'fixed' my torn tendons & reattached them. Initially my left shoulder was somewhat better after some PT, & after 4 months he advised to do my other shoulder (same issues) and proceeded with that surgery . After a year and a half of a lot of pain and PT in both shoulders, he sent me to a physiatrist who gave me a shot that didn't help. I then insisted new MRIs for my shoulders which showed my tendons were torn & detached again. I'm now suffering through two shoulder replacements with another specialist who told me it's rare to do repairs in people over 70 (me) for their tendons often don't hold! A nightmare!!

Simply the best
My daughter at the age of 12 had an almost fully torn UCL yet she fully healed a year after seeing Dr Ahmad and completing the recommended PRP shots. We are so thankful that she was able to avoid surgery, and we credit her recovery to Dr. Ahmad and his staff.

Hybrid Reconstruction of UCL
After our son’s significant injury of his UCL while pitching, we did our due diligence in search of the best possible surgeon with unequivocal experience to address his injury. After various consults with experienced surgeons who address this type of injury, there remained no doubts in our minds that Dr. Ahmad was our choice to help our son return to the mound in the best condition possible for him to continue pursing his passion. His post surgical recommendations regarding Physical Therapy coupled with Strength and Conditioning have been superb! Many thanks and blessings to Dr. Ahmad and his entire staff.

Highly Recommend Dr Ahmad & his team
We had a great experience with Dr Ahmad and his staff! We knew our son was in the best hands to have surgery to fuse together his left elbow growth plate. They truly cared and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend that any athlete who has an elbow injury go see Dr. Ahmad.

Poor Aftercare
Dr Ahmad surgically repaired my rotator cuff. He did a good job explaining the surgery and is known to be a good surgeon. I developed stiffness and pain with decreased ROM after completing months of PT. He did one telehealth visit, recommended a treatment plan and then disappeared. No word from his office and they don’t return calls. They will tell you the doctor or his assistant Frank will get back to you but they won’t. After the pain significantly worsened I gave up and went to another surgeon. If you’re not on the NY Yankees and its baseball season you may want to look elsewhere.

Heartfelt Gratitude for Successful Surgery
When my sons UCL was completely detached, it was a terrifying moment, especially considering his young age and passion for baseball. Your skillful hands and profound knowledge in orthopedic surgery not only repaired his UCL but also addressed the bone spurs and snapping nerve, ensuring a comprehensive recovery. The 50-year anniversary of the Tommy John surgery serves as a poignant reminder of how far medical science has come in treating sports injuries. Your dedication to advancing orthopedic techniques and your commitment to each patient's well-being shine brightly through my sons successful return to the mound.Today, as my son steps onto the field once again, pitching with renewed vigor and feeling healthy, I am filled with overwhelming gratitude. Thank you Dr Ahmad, Frank, and team!

Elbow and Shoulder Surgery
The only doctor who should ever touch your elbow or shoulder if you're an athlete is Dr. Ahmad. The entire staff is professional and knowledgable, and what is impressive is the entire team gets to know the patient really well. I can't say enough that as a surgeon, there IS nobody else. My entire family and I have trusted Dr. Ahmad with my future and could not be happier.

Two surgeries later, still in terrible pain!
I had back to back arthroscopic shoulder repairs with Dr. Ahmad, within the last 1 and a half years. I did all the PT and followed all instructions but the pain after surgery NEVER improved, except for a few months when I was on strong steroids for another condition. I'm now facing two shoulder replacements and am still in severe pain. Since the first surgery, I've been miserable and not at all happy with the advice he gave me, which, when I requested it, was not to have replacements in the first place. He dismissed me and shipped me off to other doctors for shots, and more PT etc. , not even knowing why I was still in pain. I finally HAD TO REQUEST further MRI's to see what was happening, and it turned out that the tendon repairs didn't hold and were once again torn, and that was what was causing my issues and pain. I do not recommend him to anyone.

He's amazing! Very professional!
He is so gentle and meets the patient where they are at. He is very talented and is known as the 'fixer.' His team is incredible as well. For over 15 years I brought my athletes to him- very blessed! I have moved out of the area and miss them dreadfully!

A special doctor
Dr Ahmad goes about his practice quietly and respectfully. This is aside from the medical qualifications that have made him the among the best and the NY Yankees team Dr. I have witnessed him and his team close up when he treated my wife over the years. No one nicer, no one more qualified.

Great bedside manner
I was seeing a colleague of his for foot issue. His colleague referred me to Dr. Ahmad for my knee pain. Dr. Ahmad was very kind, respectful and helpful. He ordered me MRI and set me up for PT. He was starting out as a new surgeon but already I could tell this doctor had strong empathy and integrity.
