He has been in practice in South Florida since 2009. He joined Sports Medicine Associates of South Florida after completing his Hand, Wrist and Microvascular Surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California. At USC, he worked under an expert team of physicians and surgeons directly responsible for the care and treatment of the USC Trojans athletic teams. Dr. Shenassa grew up in Long Island, New York and attended New York University for his undergraduate studies. After NYU, Dr, Shenassa studied medicine in Haifa, Israel at the Technion Institute of Technology Faculty of Medicine. He returned to New York to complete his surgical residency training at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, an affiliate of the NYU/ Albert Einstein Schools of Medicine.
