Care Philosophy: A diagnosis of cancer can be one of the scariest events in your life. I want you to know that you are in good hands, and I will do whatever I can to take care of your cancer treatment. Your input is very crucial and I will work with you and your family on the best course of treatment. I am passionate about improving and advancing the field of oncology through research, and I encourage my patients to seek treatment in clinical trials when appropriate. I work with a talented team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and surgical specialists who meet weekly for a multidisciplinary review of cancer patients to ensure all options are being considered.

Care Philosophy: I personally like the thought process behind ``Human Kindness,`` and that is my philosophy of care too. Give to the world the best you have, and the best will come back to you.

Care Philosophy: I believe in providing the best comprehensive care that is patient-centered. I strive my best to get to know my patients individually and provide care that is best suited for their individual needs. I do my best to help my patients understand their disease, prognosis and the treatment process. My goal is to treat every patient as if they are my family or how I would want myself to be treated.

Care Philosophy: When a patient presents with a new cancer diagnosis, I clarify the potential goals of treatment, cure or palliation. If cure is the goal, it means 100% eradication and permanent removal of the disease. Palliative treatment controls cancer activity while preserving quality of life. Oncology has evolved to be a complex specialty and other specialties like pathology, surgery and radiation are involved at all stages of workup and treatment. I usually review the most up to date information using peer-reviewed databases like National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) clinical practice guidelines. Family is encouraged to attend appointments, take notes, and ask questions. It is important for the patient and his/her family to be informed of the natural history of the cancer, prognosis, treatment options, and side effects of treatment. This would allow them to make the most appropriate decisions about their care.
