Biography: Remington Horesh, DO is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders. This sub-specialization allows him to compliment his fellow surgeons at St. Luke's at The Villages in providing the community with complete ocular health care.

Care Philosophy: Dr Gooch served 28 years in the US Air Force and held several esteemed roles including Chief, Aerospace Ophthalmology at the US Air Force Aeromedical Consultation Service from October 2006 to February 2014. He was Chief Consultant to the US Air Force Surgeon General for Aerospace Ophthalmology, and a Chief Flight Surgeon with over 1,000 total military flying hours in both fighter and transport aircraft. He retired from active duty in February 2014 at the rank of Colonel. With over 20 years in practice, Dr Gooch brings a wealth of experience to St. Luke's at The Villages. He was personally selected by Dr Kimberly Ireland and Dr Pit Gills to join the practice.

Care Philosophy: For Dr Ireland, practicing ophthalmology offers her the opportunity to improve the lives of her patients, which she considers an honor and a privilege. She is committed to supporting community programs and serving those less fortunate. Dr Ireland developed glaucoma screening programs and worked with local free clinics to provide ophthalmic care to those in need in the Milwaukee area. Dr Ireland enjoys teaching and supports the education of ophthalmic technicians and optometrists. She also enjoys speaking to the public on issues that impact their health and she encourages her audiences to take an informed and active role in their care. Dr Ireland's commitment to excellence is pervasive throughout her practice.

Care Philosophy: Dr Licht is a fellowship trained, board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic and advanced cataract surgery. His training allows him to serve patients using the latest technology in areas of high demand within eyecare. Dr Licht&rsquos aspirations began at the University of Florida, where he studied linguistics and mathematics, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. After three years teaching high school math, he returned to UF, earned an MS in environmental engineering, and decided on a path in medicine. He then attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his doctorate, and continued there for his ophthalmology residency.
