Biography: Dr. Williams completed The Maryland Spine Fellowship Program in 2002 under the direction of Paul C. McAfee MD, Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins University. He specializes in common conditions, ranging from cervical and lumbar disc herniations to more complex reconstructive procedures including adult scoliosis and degenerative spondylolisthesis. Dr Williams has also been at the forefront of minimally invasive spine surgery since 2004. This includes outpatient surgeries and innovative techniques such as total disc replacement. He has office hours at Einstein Medical Center and Einstein Elkins Park Hospital. He operates at both hospitals, including minimally invasive surgery at Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.

Biography: Patrick B. Cooper, MD, FAANS joined Einstein Healthcare Network's Division of Neurosurgery and is a member of the Einstein Spine Institute, an interdisciplinary team of Einstein physicians from Neurosurgery, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Cooper joined us from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he had been a senior staff neurosurgeon from 2006 to 2015. During that time he was the Center's director of neurosurgical oncology and the neurosurgery consultant to the Army Surgeon General from 2012 to 2015. Dr. Cooper is board-certified in neurological surgery and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army in 2015. He earned his medical degree from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He completed his internship and neurosurgery residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and received additional, specialized training in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and Stereotactic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurological Surgery. He is seeing patients at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and Einstein Medical Center East Norriton.
