Biography: Dr. Gene W. Shaffer is a dedicated and diligent orthopedic surgeon serving the community of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Shaffer attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Shaffer is board certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is affiliated with Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Biography: Dr. Ronald Renzi has been a practicing podiatrist in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburban area for more than 25 years. Dr. Renzi served on the Global Lower Extremity Amputation Study Group and published an article in the British Journal of Surgery and his work has been cited in several medical journals. He is the director of the Save Your Soles campaign a grassroots effort to reduce limb amputations in the black male community of Philadelphia. In 2018, he was awarded the ``Courage to Make a Difference`` award by Abington Hospital/Jefferson Health. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (formerly Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine) and completed a surgical residency at Kensington Hospital. Since 1991 he has served as a staff member of Abington Hospital. He lives in Abington with his wife Maureen. His hobbies are biking and basketball.
