Biography: Dr. Lawler is a board-certified member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society. She is also the medical director of the Parkinson's Association of San Diego. Dr. Lawler is originally from Ohio where she completed undergrad at Ohio University and also studied abroad through Duke University in Costa Rica where she completed a Spanish immersion program. She came back to Ohio for medical school at University of Toledo and then went on to complete her residency training in neurology at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C., where she served as chief resident. Dr. Lawler stayed at Georgetown University to complete a fellowship in Movement and Memory Disorders at the highly acclaimed Translational Neurotherapeutics Program where she was extensively involved in clinical research, including the pivotal ongoing study using Nilotinib for treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease, helped start the first ever Parkinsonism and Dementia clinic, and participated in baseline cognitive and neurologic assessments of retired NFL players for the NFL Players association. Dr. Lawler has published a variety of papers and posters on topics involving the use of Nilotinib in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Disease. Dr. Lawler is experienced in treating many different neurologic conditions but specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Movement Disorders, offering a wide variety of treatment options beyond traditional medical management for Parkinson 's Disease including programming and management of Deep Brain Stimulation and the Duopa LCIG infusion pump. Dr. Lawler also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of Autonomic conditions, muscle dystonia and spasticity using Botulinum toxin injections, as well as all of the various types of dementia. Dr. Lawler is very passionate about the care and treatment of patients with memory disorders and plans to start a new program and center of excellence with the goal of not only improving patient care and treatment options but starting a nationwide campaign of awareness.

Biography: Dr. Sahagian specializes in diagnosing and treating neuromuscular disorders such as Myasthenia Gravis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Neuropathy, Myopathy and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He is an expert in performing Electromyography/Nerve Conduction (EMG) studies and skin biopsies for nerve fiber analysis. He is active in the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine as the California State Liaison. Additionally, Dr. Sahagian is a medical advisory board member of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of California. He also acted as Program Chairman of the San Diego Neurologic Society and has represented the Association of California Neurologists as a delegate to the California Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He has been a part of The Neurology Center for over 20 years and serves as the CEO. Dr. Sahagian has participated as an investigator for numerous clinical research studies as part of our longstanding clinical research center. Biography: Dr. Gualberto is a board-certified member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is triple board certified in Neurology, Neurocritical Care and Epilepsy. He did undergrad at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his internship at West Virginia University Hospital and fulfilled his residency training in Neurology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship focusing on epilepsy also at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. After fellowship he moved back to where he was born and raised, St. Louis, Missouri and practiced seeing general neurology and stroke. In addition, he had a special interest in treating patients with intractable epilepsy. He also ran a dedicated multidisciplinary sports concussion clinic with Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital which was St. Louis University School of Medicine's primary pediatric teaching hospital. He was the primary sports concussion physician for elite soccer clubs around St. Louis area. Since his move to San Diego, his primary focus is Neurohospitalist/Stroke Director at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas where he treats neurological emergencies and continues to manage patients with epilepsy. He has been published and has presented numerous papers. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Epilepsy Society. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, tennis, skateboarding, cycling, attempting to surf, listening to music and watching all sports.

As a board-certified neurophysiologist, she performs nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) testing to help diagnose disorders of muscles and peripheral nerves.
