Kind, but I think he didn't consider a suffient number of alternative explanations, and instead jumped to one that had a tiny chance of being true.

Dr. Savani took the time to truly explain, in detail, my results of the sleep study and made careful and considered recommendations. He is always attentive and very kind. Dr. Savani is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor and delivers information in a compassionate and responsible manner. While this is a very robust practice and appointments track at a slower pace than some have patience for, I felt as if Dr. Savani really took his time to speak with me during my sleep study follow up and for my initial appointment.

I was referred to the Dr. to review brain and optic MRIs that indicated potential MS. While he could not make an definitive conclusions regarding the disease, he was able to rule out PPMS and explain what he saw on the MRIs, what they may or may not mean, and he gave me comfort that things likely are not nearly as dire as what the radiologist intimated. Dr. Savani was very patient and spent a lot of time with my wife and me, answering all of our questions (many were duplicitous). He was quick to say when he was unsure of something and very frank about things he was confident in. I felt very relieved after my visit and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to talk to a knowledgeable person about my MRIs and to have have all of my questions answered in a clear and understandable manner. The Dr. has an excellent bedside manner and I am glad my primary referred me to Dr. Savani. I feel like I am in good and competent hands!

My sleep study for obstructive sleep apnea went very well, but the follow up after my diagnosis of severe obstructive sleep apnea was terrible. No one took the time to discuss which mask setup would be best for me and I had to guess, cycling through several and eventually giving up and buying a few on Amazon to try because it was much faster. I only found out THREE MONTHS LATER that there was a weekly mask fitting clinic held by the practice. I have struggled with achieving consistent alleviation of my symptoms with my BiPAP machine despite the fact that my "numbers are good" for sleep apnea events. I am exhausted, cannot focus, and my muscles ache after minimal exertion. Dr. Savani has been dismissive of my concerns and seems completely uninterested in helping me even when I make clear how much I am struggling to keep up with the basic tasks in my daily life.

I have been a patient of Dr. Savani for many years for various sleep disorders, and he has made a huge difference in my functionality and quality of life. I am an RN who has worked in another sleep disorders practice for 27 years. Dr. Savani is detailed but efficient, sensitive without condescension, and has gone above and beyond in fighting with my insurance company to get them to cover a medication. At almost every visit, he apologizes for being late... 5 minutes late. He has been creative (successfully) in his management of my sleep disorders, complicated by a complex medical history and medication regimen. He is one of the few physicians I have seen who consistently checks to make sure that I am still sober and haven't had any relapses; most physicians just assume I haven't relapsed. I have seen dozens of physicians for many conditions, and Dr. Savani is one of the best, and one of the most impactful.

I wanted information on where to go from here to help me recover from this stroke. I sent 36 pages of test results from GW Hospital to the doctor before my visit. I do not have issues that should have caused this stroke. We don’t need to look for more whys just what next and my prognosis. That didn’t happen with my visit. The doctor wanted to do more diagnosis/testing. That may be his desire but it was not mine.

Dr. Savani is one doctor that I enjoy visiting. He has the best mannerisms and is so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. He really takes the time to listen and he provides clear diagnosis and instructions.

There is approximately a 3 month wait to see Dr. Savani, but he is worth it. He listens AND he and the office help get medications from insurance companies who do not want to pay.

I liked how Dr. Savani personally came to the waiting room to get me, and was very warm, cordial and patient. He answered all my (many) questions and through his calibration of my CPAP has dramatically reduced my apnea incidents. I am very grateful for his kind manner and excellent clinical skills.

Dr. Savani is very knowledgeable. He identified the best medicine to treat my mother’s dementia. Her memory has been stable for the past few years. In fact, at times her memory improved slightly.
