Care Philosophy: Dr. Arvin Rao is a highly trained, American Board of Otolaryngology certified, otolaryngologist dedicated to providing premier, comprehensive medical and surgical care of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults. His specialty interests include care of upper respiratory disorders including allergy, rhinitis (inflammation of the nose), laryngopharyngeal reflux (reflux from the stomach affecting the throat), and chronic sinusitis.

Care Philosophy: Comprehensive care of patients' nasal and sinus problems in a partnership with their other health care providers is my top priority.

Care Philosophy: I strive to see each patient as unique and individual. You are not simply another patient but a person in search of an answer. If I cannot identify the solution, I will try to direct you to someone who can.

Care Philosophy: Kimberly Nelson, MD, believes in providing her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Nelson received her bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of Wyoming and completed medical school with honors at Creighton University in Nebraska. She finished residency at the University of Colorado and is board certified in otolaryngology. Outside of work, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, camping and traveling. She also enjoys being with her dogs and doing extracurricular activities, which include stand-up comedy.

Biography: Dr. David Van Kooten, MD is an Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose /amp Throat) Specialist who practices in Wheat Ridge, CO. He is 58 years old and has been practicing for 32 years. Dr. David Van Kooten, MD is affiliated with HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge.

Biography: Dr. Yan attended medical school and completed his Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received extensive training and developed a passion for all aspects of Otolaryngology. He provides comprehensive care for pediatric and adult patients, specializing in the treatment of nasal and sinus diseases, speech and swallowing disorders, salivary gland diseases and hearing loss. He is happily married with 3 young children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports and developing new hobbies.

Biography: Jeff Chain, MD, is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and specializes in comprehensive ear, nose and throat (ENT) treatment including upper airway stimulation (UAS). After growing up in Ohio, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He went on to graduate from the Medical College of Ohio (now known as the University of Toledo) in 2003. In medical school, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was chosen by his classmates as a commencement speaker.He came to Colorado in 2003 for his internship in surgery and residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He was chosen as administrative chief resident by the faculty. He won the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award by medical students as a resident role model.Jeff is active in community health both locally and around the globe. He has taken 2 trips to Phnom Penh, Cambodia as part of Jeremiah's Hope, Christian Medical Mission to Cambodia. He has also served as medical director of the 9 Health Fair for several years at Montview Presbyterian Church in Park Hill. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, the American Rhinologic Society, and the Colorado Medical Society. Outside of work, Jeff spends time with his wife and 3 children. He also plays tennis, coaches youth sports, and enjoys fly fishing.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Ryan Mitchell treats every child as if they were his own children by providing the highest quality of care. He enjoys the lasting relationship he builds with his patients and their families while working together to develop a treatment plan.
