Biography: Herman B. Kleinbaum, MD, is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed internships at New York Medical College and Westchester County Medical Center, where he stayed on to serve his residency. He returned to New York Medical College to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology. Dr. Kleinbaum has been the recipient of several honors, including the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the Dolores Rosa Scholarship Award for Academic Excellence. Biography: Jeffrey Abergel is a board-certified gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group, Hudson Valley. He treats an array of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders but has a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis). He performs upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography, and videocapsule endoscopy. After earning his medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine in Israel, Dr. Abergel completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey. Dr. Abergel was previously on faculty at Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. In 2015, Dr. Abergel was honored by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America charity ``Take Steps`` Walk on Staten Island. Biography: Pawan Rastogi, MD, is a gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley and an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. He performs procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, with a focus on gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary endoscopies. After graduating from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, Dr. Rastogi went on to complete an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. During his tenure at Georgetown, Dr. Rastogi received the Donald Knowlan Award for his leadership and high level of clinical competency and was named chief gastroenterology fellow. Dr. Rastogi then came to Montefiore Medical Center, where he furthered his training and completed a second fellowship in advanced endoscopy and interventional gastroenterology. Dr. Rastogi specializes in performing endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, upper endoscopy, and colonoscopy. He treats a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and specializes in pancreatic and biliary endoscopic interventions.

Biography: Dr. S. Sunghyun Yoon is the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Vice-Chair of Surgical Oncology Research and Education in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Dr. Yoon is a national and international expert in the treatment of patients with sarcomas and other soft tissue tumors, gastric (stomach) and gastroesophageal cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), and melanoma. He also has over 18 years of experience in the treatment of other gastrointestinal and abdominal tumors, hepatobiliary tumors, neuroendocrine/adrenal tumors, lymphomas, and spleen tumors. He has been the principal investigator of several clinical trials examining novel treatment strategies and given numerous invited national and international lectures in relation to these cancers. Several of these trials have investigated the treatment of sarcomas, especially abdominal/retroperitoneal sarcomas, with advanced radiation techniques such as proton beam radiation and aggressive surgical resection to minimize local recurrence. He pioneered a technique for connection of the small bowel to the esophagus after total gastrectomy that is used by former surgical trainees and colleagues throughout the country due to its extremely low leakage rate. Dr. Yoon graduated from Harvard University and received his M.D. from the University of California at San Diego. He completed his residency in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and his fellowship in surgical oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He was an Associate Professor of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School before joining the staff at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2012. Dr. Yoon was an Attending Surgeon in the Division of Gastric and Mixed Tumors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College before joining CUIMC in 2021. Dr. Yoon's main research interests are in cancer stem cells and targeted biological agents in combination with chemotherapy and radiation therapy. His laboratory has been funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute for 18 years and strives to translate new research discoveries into the clinic. Dr. Yoon is also part of multi-institution research groups funded by Stand Up To Cancer and the DeGregorio Family Foundation to discover early diagnostics and new therapies for gastric cancer.
