Biography: EDUCATION Dr. Gollard attended University of California, Los Angeles for his undergraduate and masters studies. In 1980, he completed his bachelors in English and received his masters in English in 1983. Dr. Gollard received his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his internal medicine internship in 1991 at the University of Southern California and his internal medicine residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center in 1993. In 1996, Dr. Gollard completed his fellowship in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST Specializes in general medical oncology, hematology, leukemia, lymphoma, sarcomas and medical humanities. EXPERIENCE Dr. Gollard is a medical oncologist-hematologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN). He has served on numerous committees and boards. He also teaches for the Honors College at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and mentors both pre-medical and medical students. He has authored many articles for medical journals and lectured all over the United States. Dr. Gollard has also received numerous awards and accolades, including the Squibb Award for Outstanding Scientific Research, the Irving Lasky Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research and being named an Outstanding Hematologist/Oncologist by numerous publications. Prior to joining CCCN, he was an oncologist at Cancer & Blood Specialists of Nevada and previously had a private practice at Nevada Cancer Center. He has been practicing in Las Vegas since 1996. Biography: Telehealth Visits are Available Gregory Obara, MD is a medical oncologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN). He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. Dr. Obara has published two papers, and he is a member of various professional organizations.

Care Philosophy: I do not treat cancer, I treat patients with cancer emphasizing the role of the body, mind and complex organs and systems involved in control of the disease, and the impact of treatment on those systems. My goal is to prevent diseases and complications, alleviate pain, avoid unnecessary suffering, and always improve quality of life, a life to be longer, prosperous and enjoyable.

Care Philosophy: My approach to patient care is to consider the entire patient, and not just his or her disease. I try to understand everything about the patient, their social, cultural, education, and family history, in addition to their medical history, and the disease for which they have been referred to me for treatment. This global approach to the patient gives me the proper and total context to help me deliver the very best care I can.

Biography: Telehealth Visits are Available Dr. Thummala, a medical oncologist and hematologist, is a board member for Comprehensive Cancer Centers (Comprehensive), and currently serves as medical director of its Northwest Treatment Center. Dr. Thummala provides treatment of all types of cancer with special focus on breast, colon and lung cancers & hematological malignancies. She is also on the frontlines of clinical research at Comprehensive, where she serves as a Principal and Sub-Investigator for many cancer research trials including collaborations with US Oncology Research, UCLA and Pharma Research. In the broader Southern Nevada medical community, she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and also its board member for peer review & the nominating committees. At MountainView Hospital, she is Chair of the cancer committee and is the Sub-Specialty Director of its graduate medical education program. Dr. Thummala also sits on Nevada State Cancer Coalition's board of directors and is currently an adjunct faculty member at UNLV School of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Clark County Medical Society. Her prior leadership positions include serving as the past chair of Comprehensive's pharmacy and therapeutics committee. She also chaired MountainView Hospital's quality control committee. Dr. Thummala has been recognized as Top Doctor by Vegas Inc. and Greenspun Media Group as well as a Medical Marvel by Nevada Business Magazine. Additionally, she was recipient of the 2014 Athena Leadership Award through the Women's Chamber of Commerce and inducted into the Women's Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame in 2015. Among her other accolades, she has been named Preceptor of the Year by the University of Nevada School of Medicine, was among America's Most Honored Professionals by The American Registry and received the Compassionate Doctor and Patients' Choice awards from Vitals.com. Throughout her career, she has published numerous studies, including ones that have addressed the treatment of hot flashes in women with breast cancer; a study on using preoperative ceftuzumab in rectal cancer patients; and a randomized phase 2 study of PD 0332991, a cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitor, in combination with letrozole vs. letrozole alone for first-line treatment of ER+/HER2- advanced breast cancer. Her phase 2 study on metastatic triple negative breast cancer with G1T28 and Gemcitabine/Carboplatin was accepted for publication at ESMO Congress and Lancet. Prior to joining Comprehensive in 2006, Dr. Thummala practiced in a single specialty group in Texas (Richardson Hospital Medical Center), where she served on the board and acted as the physician liaison appointed by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. She also served on the practice's cancer committee and, separately, worked as a hospice director for Texas-based Harris Hospice.
