Biography: I graduated from Alabama State University in 2011 with my MS in Clinical Mental health counseling. I have done a vast amount of work in all treatment modalities as well as various populations. Primarily I have worked with families, in the community, crisis and trauma centered work, as well as substance use and severe mental health illness. My drive in this field is to help individuals who are struggling to mentally get to a place of peace and be that ear that can help one process and sort out whatever struggles they may be facing where accessing family and friends is not an option. My most sought out modes of counseling that I find most effective are solution focused, Cognitive behavior, Motivational interviewing , and person centered. These modalities are typically centered around allowing my client to be heard, as well as creating a space of open dialogue for me to learn more about you, and find root causes of presenting problem and begin to explore ways to help either shift the dynamic or shift the though process of the situation to assist in making life fuller, manageable and peaceful.
