Talkspace treatment methods are supported by scientific research and are committed to non-judgmental care that is inclusive and respectful of cultural and other identities. Talkspace patients are matched with the best provider for them based on their needs and availability during the registration process. Once matched with a provider, patients may change at any time, and may contact support to request a specific provider. *The above is attributed to Talkspace and not the provider.*

Biography: A warm hello and congratulations on taking this important step in improving your well-being and enhancing your future. Life's circumstances, our ongoing internal struggles, or both, can result in situations where we are compelled to reach out for help. This is a natural part of the human experience, especially today, in complicated times. I have 17 years of experience providing clients with compassionate guidance to identify realistic solutions for the challenges that face us all. I use varying approaches to build and enhance the therapeutic relationship. I am consistently mindful about a person's capacity and readiness to explore growth. Therapy can be invigorating and lead a person to emerge from frustrating, and, at times, demoralizing ruts. Chronic anxiety, depression, anger, drug and alcohol abuse, process addictions (shopping, food, TV are examples) are distressing and rob us of enjoying what life has to offer. There are proven pathways to well-being. In some cases, despite great effort, we are not able to see the way through a difficult situation by ourselves. This is the moment for professional intervention. By the time people seek therapy typically they have been struggling with their issues for a long while and have not been able to attain meaningful resolution. My breadth of knowledge and experience will permit us to begin working right away. I can help you get on your way to a fuller, happier life. My approach is primarily Existential Therapy, which means discussion about what is meaningful for you in the present. This involves understanding relevant parts of the past, with a view towards the future. I am well-versed in Psychodynamic and Attachment theories, which help pinpoint places in our history where false narratives about the self and the world may have taken root, leading to problems in the present. Finally, Client-Centered Theory is always part of the therapeutic environment, meaning that I will consistently monitor your timing for change and provide non-judgmental feedback and support as we go. I am a Master's graduate of a private, well-respected and accredited university where I was trained in both mental health and marital, couple, and family therapy. I also hold a certification in Addiction Counseling from another major private institution. Addictions can be more than drugs and alcohol, which means they can be overlooked or underestimated in their harmful effects. I continually read and become educated in my field to add to my fund of knowledge to serve my clients better. Let's get started finding real solutions now.

Biography: "During these times, it may be hard for you to see all the little things we do to avoid intimacy. Instead of clinginess, try support. Instead of agonizing, try releasing. Self-pity is just sadness in the pejorative."- Renata Adler. As an experienced clinician with almost twenty years of promoting "the bigger picture," I understand the inevitable strains of societal pressures and mounting anxieties that precipitate today's emotional supply and demand. And moreover, how our immediate environments (both personal and professional), less than secure attachments, and unresolved traumas tend to strip us of our inherent worth and propagate low self-esteem. Our pasts can slowly rob us from our intrinsic worth and freedoms if we aren't careful. Let's remain vigilant to our reactionary minds that sometimes cause us to flail in unnecessary despair. I have applied psychodynamic, existential, humanistic, CBT, strength-based, inner child workings, and trauma focused therapies within acute psychiatric and multiple behavioral health settings for most of all my career. Since graduating with my Bachelors Degree in 2006, then Masters Degree in 2010 and eventually gaining licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in 2014, I also have learned and grown from the beautifully destructive cycles of life. I respect the individual in relation to their environment and offer my utmost sincerity and earnest attempts at a full understanding of the person as a whole being, from start to never finish. I utilize humor and satire as a form of stress relief. I will comfortably guide you to embrace the normality of your dysfunctions while highlighting the uniqueness of life, so you can begin to feel a little less consumed. I am an attentive listener with a tender spot for all of humankind. I truly hope I am granted the privilege of working with you.

Biography: Hello, and welcome to the new wave of support in the digital age. Great work in taking the first step to find a provider who will fit your needs and beliefs. My name is Sarah Watt, and I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified clinical trauma professional, and certified sex addiction counselor. Counseling was not always the dream I had for my future however, it was my calling. People are often called to be many different things in one lifetime, but I always go back to my core: counselor, mentor, coach, and supporter. If you are looking for someone to be there along-side in this journey we call life, I am it! I began my career in Northeast Ohio first volunteering and then taking this into my studies. I received a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2003 and a master's degree in counseling in 2007 through John Carroll University. Following this, my family suffered a loss, so I relocated to Florida to be there to support them. Beautifully enough, I have since started a family of my own and planted roots personally and professionally. I opened a small private practice in 2017 which has helped many suffering from dissociative disorders, trauma, and addictions issues. My background in the field after 15 years is very diverse from inpatient hospital settings, community mental health work, residential treatment, in-school therapy, to an outpatient work setting. My heart has always been invested in helping people to lift themselves out of the worst of life circumstances or merely learn to love the life they are living and fully. Approaches to helping include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based practices, client centered therapy, solutions focused, relational recovery, trauma processing and attachment healing. It is both an honor and privilege to be able to work with you on your journey towards health and wellness. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions for me and my style. It is hard to gather personality from a written synopsis so I would be more than willing to video or chat by phone to ensure we are a great fit for each other. The relationship is 90% of the therapy process so let's be certain we are the right match so you can get the most out of your therapy process. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Because I believe no one should be in jail for an addiction issue. I do free counseling for combat veterans through a program called Give An Hour. I am probably not your traditional counselor, in the sense that I don't only use a single approach or a particular counseling theory, I use a more eclectic view, wherein, I gear the approach to each client individually, meeting them where they are in their life. Experience has taught me that each and every client I have had the honor of working with, is an individual and there is no cookie cutter approach that works for everyone. So after I meet each client for the first time, I decide what approach will work best for them. I am of the theory of treating a person holistically because people aren't just a condition or disorder they have, they are a person independent of whatever issues they are experiencing. I work with my clients to create an open, honest, and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change, in order to become the best version of yourself.
