Exceeds her scope of practice. She is a Ph.D., not a physician, and not licensed as a prescriber. Went to her for a bariatric surgery psych consult, however she was upset that I was on a regimen of meds, as prescribed by 3 physicians familiar with EMS & military trauma. It took them 4 years to find a regimen that was effective and I would remain compliant with. She will not approve surgery unless I begin to wean off the medications. I’ve never felt so bad for seeking help with my mental health.
