Poor care received by my daughter
My daughter made an appointment because she was able to get one quickly. Normally, she is seen at the VEI but this time was unable to be seen quickly, and she needed a new eyeglass prescription There are known diabetic eye conditions, and she’s been having visual problems and headaches, yet Dr. Palistano told her everything was fine. The technician mentioned that eye pressures seemed high but he disagreed (?). And to have an optometry practice that does eye exams but does not write prescriptions for eyeglasses or contacts. Is this really true? You get the exam but then need a new exam and prescription elsewhere to obtain glasses or contacts?

Short pleasant experience
It was a followup for cataract surgery so it was basic. A technician checked my vision and my pressure. Thankfully I was given the option of not having my pupils dilated. I was treated well. A suggestion: have on hand the less potent version of dilation drops. I've had them before and they are much better, because your body metastasizes them quicker.

I have been going to Dr. Palisano for over six years. He is extremely knowledgable and conscientious in his care. He is also very generous with his time, always answering questions and explaining procedures. He is an excellent optometrist and an excellent health care provider. I recommend him very highly.

Dr. Palisano completely renewed my eyesight with both my eyeglasses, and more importantly, my multi-focal, gas permeable, contact lenses. I have not seen so well in many, many years. He took time to go through two different sets of contacts, to get to one that has improved my vision dramatically. The comfort and wearing time is terrific. I highly recommend him to anyone, but especially to those who wear contact lenses. He's also a patient, kind and pleasant doctor.
