Dr. Helen Paslay, DNP

Today I was informed by her office that I am being dismissed as her patient, due to 'back and forth' about a small billing issue. We have been trying for TWO MONTHS to correct a billing error (only $20) but their billing person NEVER called us back. In all of our communications with her office personnel (or with Helen herself) we were NEVER disrespectful! I have been a loyal patient these past few months, seeing her on her required 3-month intervals, so I was absolutely taken aback by this conversation this morning! If I could be dismissed over such a small matter, not of my making, then I strongly suggest any prospective patients look elsewhere for primary care.

She canceled me as a patient and I was told she would no longer take my insurance because I had not seen her in a year. She wants to see you every three months. I have not been sick, so why would I go see her unless I was not feeling well? I was never given any prior notice. I am very disappointed in her practice.

She requires a visit every 3 months and if you don’t go in she will inactivate you and her front office will tell you to find a new doctor. Even though she refills all of my medications I now don’t have a doctor due to emergencies in my family and not being able to call her office back.

We lost our primary care doctor and Dr Paslay was recommended, We got right in to see her and we’re very pleased. The whole staff is very caring and friendly and Dr Paslay is great

She gets right to the point and she also offers semiglutide for weight loss.

I was looking for an experienced Doctor/Nurse Practitioner in our area for weight loss and diabetes managment. I noticed this flyer that came in the mail with Dr. Paslays' specialities. I have been on many diets in the past only to regain the weight and sometimes more. Being older I was having a difficult time at trying to lose, once again. I have had family and friends that had the gastric bypass surgery or the lap ban years ago only to have many complications, weight gain and the return of diabetes. I am telling you what an amazing tool semaglutide has been for me. I am now prediabetic and have a 47 lb weight loss which I did lose in a matter of months. I am feeling great and have more energy than I've had in years. Dr. Paslay and her staff offer so much more than the average weight loss clinics. Their support and encouragement is not only flattering but they make your visits fun! I highly support and recommend Dr.Paslay and her wonderful staff!

I started the injection weight loss therapy in July as of January 2024 I have lost 55 pounds I’m over 65 and have been heavy since high school the injections curb my appetite and I eat less than half the portions I was eating before it’s a steady weight loss of between one to 2 pounds a week. Helen is very friendly and encouraging and her staff is wonderful

Dr Paslay’s weight lose program has been wonderful. I’ve lost 40 pounds in six months and am 60 years old with hypothyroidism. I never thought I could lose the weight and have normal blood pressure and almost non existent arthritis!

Wow! I have never in my life received this quality of care. I feel incredibly blessed to have Dr. Paslay managing my healthcare. I never have issues making an appointment when I am ill or need an urgent issue needs to be addressed. She has been my Doctor for over a year.During each of my appointments, I never feel rushed. My concerns, wants and needs are always caringly addressed. When I leave my appointments, I feel all of my questions are thoroughly answered. She takes the time to explain things in a way I completely understand. Any fears I have about my health conditions are addressed. She is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. She takes great interest in providing test results and explaining them. I have referred her to many friends and family members!Her staff is always friendly. Calling the office is easy and making an appointment is even easier. If you need primary care, pain management or even weight loss solutions that work and make sense, she is the doctor for you!

Have been with Helen Paslay for 5 years at another clinic Helen worked at, before she left. Decided to make an Primary Care appointment at her newly started business. Went there today, and they took all our credentials (including copy of drivers license). Finally, I got into the patient room, and when Helen Paslay came in she immediately said 'My Policy is you have to come in every 3 Months). That was not what I had to do under her care at the clinic she was working at before. So she said she would not change the 3 month policy at he business. I wished her business had posted that or gave us that information when making the appointment so the patient could make a decision whether to continue or agree to her 3 month policy, before giving out all our credentials.

Very disappointing. I was doing weekly injections with this office and requested to see if I could get those similar injections through my pharmacy as it would be significantly cheaper. Helen stated I would not qualify per the insurance guidelines. I decided to call my insurance provider myself and I met the requirements. I am now getting my injections for $25 a month( at a different office) compared to the $175 I was paying WEEKLY at Paslay Health care!! I am not sure what her reasoning was to not help me, her patient, get the medication needed for the most economical price but needless to say I was extremely disappointed and am distrustful that she had my best interest in mind. I share this to encourage people to ask questions and advocate for yourself!!!

Dr Helen is simply one of the best! My husband has been a patient of hers for years. I started seeing her nearly a year ago. I can't thank her and God enough for getting me to Dr Helen. We have gone from pneumonia, to weight management, pain and now sadly cancer. She is extremely intelligent, professional and kind. The staff and Mike are wonderful too. This kind of loving, tender and humorous when that's what I need, is why I refer her to everyone! Thank you for being the Best ??

Dr Paslay has been taking care of my family and I for years. She’s very careful and considerate with my time. She takes time to truly listen to what I have to say and has many suggestions for how we can better take care of ourselves. Sometimes we might not want to hear something but it’s obvious she cares about her patients and that’s why she tells us the hard truth. I am always able to get an appointment quickly and the staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this office enough.

Dr. Paslay is engaged, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about me and my health. I have recommended her to family and friends and will continue to do so. I have never felt better cared for than I do now.

Our initial appointment was so thorough, we were very impressed. Her medical knowledge runs very deep and she is very personable!

I first met Dr Paslay five years ago at a social gathering. When she heard I had a severe back problem, she recommended I make an appointment with her office. Dr Paslay was very confident that she could help, and nothing else I had tried seemed to work. I made an appointment, I had the procedure done. The results were outstanding. My lower back pain was minimized almost immediately, and the results lasted longer than expected. Another experience I would like to share. During the imaging prior to my back procedure, another unknown and very serious disorder was discovered. This likely life threatening problem was rapidly dealt with, there have been no related complications to date. I have been a patient of Dr Paslay since, I am grateful that I was introduced to her. Dr Paslay is very caring and will always keep her patients best interests in mind. I am delighted that she has her own practice. Her patients, the medical profession and our community will all benefit from her presence.

I have worked with Helen for a year. I had a fall resulting in spinal damage. I was confined to a wheelchair and wasn’t positive about anything. I’ve had 2 unsuccessful surgical procedures. I didn’t give up. I lost half of my weight and I’m walking every day. I use a scooter as I desire. I have a life worth living now and Helen has walked that long recovery road with me all the way. I had shooting leg pains for an entire year that have suddenly stopped as of last week. I can’t say enough. I’m a walking testimony for Helen Paslay and Whitney James. I’m thankful every single day that I was fortunate enough that they accepted me and my negativity. Since high school I’ve felt sluggish and tired and struggle with pain and today I feel better than I did in high school! I’m 58 and I feel like a teenager again. My life is fun, and I’ve never been able to experience the fun lifestyle that I have for the first time ever. Grateful!

Was my first visit and she was very thorough and knowledgeable. She asked a lot of questions so to get to understand me better. She ran test and her staff checked with insurance for coverage. Overall I was impressed. SO much better than my other provider.

I left her practice a while ago and will never return.

Helen is the first practitioner that took the time to address my condition and explain it in a non-medical fashion. She has a complete understanding as to the cause, condition and possible treatments. She leaves no "stone unturned" in her approach to and understanding of my condition.
