Phenomenal. Has helped me change, has made my life so much better. Gives patients space to think; makes connections I never saw; pushs patiently for small changes. I question the use of silences by this therapist. On the one hand, silence can motivate the clients to reflect on what they are saying. On the other hand it can be excessive and not be at all helpful. I regret not challenging this therapist on what I experienced at not putting enough energy into the therapy session. Yet I was paying plenty for it out of my pocket.

I did not feel that he was "with me emotionally." Instead he seemed to be coming from his head. He is a Ph.D. in psychology and had been a full professor of psychology at Tufts. I need the connection in healing relationships.
