He helped me win the battle with OCD
Dr Federman saw me as a private patient and at the VA in the early 90’s and was instrumental in showing me I could overcome my struggle with obsessive compulsive disorder. His unique and personal approach, great understanding of the disorder and his excellent knowledge of his field gave me the insight and courage to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He said that medication was only one part of the cure and he was right. Today I live free of the hold OCD had in me back then. Despite the stress I was under at the time, And the amount of work it took to get over this disorder, Dr Federman and all the effort he demonstrated with me (and others) remain a positive memory. I hope he’s well and I trust he’s still helping people today.
