I began with another audiologist in the office, and inherited Colleen when she left. I had a bilateral loss and was already using a CIC in my right ear; they sold me another for my left. She was unable to adjust it, saying that I would never get the same benefit from her aid as I did from the other as my ears had "different losses". The loss in my left ear worsened when I was under her care. During adjustments she made me feel like I was bothering her and too picky. I kept the aid, but never used it caused more problems than it solved. I later learned that the change in my bilateral hearing loss was a red flag for a tumor (acoustic neuroma), and that an MRI should have been ordered to rule out a tumor. She never mentioned the possibility of a tumor or an MRI, which would have found my 6 cm tumor long before I lost any salvageable hearing. Her "care" rendered my deaf in my left ear, and altered my life forever.
