I’m really not understanding these parents concerns with Cecil. It’s a law that states he cannot share anything that goes on inside during sessions. Of you have a problem with that, don’t take your children to therapy! Stop being a helicopter parent, always in your children’s business. Especially if you take your young ones to therapy, but do not choose to do therapy yourself. You’re being a hypocrite and you cannot have it both ways. Cecil is probably telling them that you do need therapy, and seeing all these reviews, he is probably right. You all are just mad because you don’t get what you want, And that’s Unfortunate for you and the relationship with your child. As for me, I’ve gotten nothing but positively with my child going to him. He’s very polite and is open to telling you anything as long as your child says it’s okay. So next time, get your facts straight. It’s not his fault, he all helps the best he can.

It wasn't long before I started taking my son to see Cecil that I had concerns the type of therapy my son was getting. Cecil would not talk to me about anything they were discussing. Every other doctor I took my son to was very open about the treatment that they gave my son. The new therapist my son sees gave me a funny look when I told him that Cecil wouldn't tell me anything. Cecil would discuss with my son that I needed therapy. Cecil and my son walked out of a session laughing and stated "You know how (my name) is and how bad I need therapy. I found that very disrespectful and interesting since he wouldn't tell me anything that happened in his sessions with my son. He continued to let my son use his ADHD and Anxiety as a crutch. I feel he didn't care if my son learned to manage his ADHD and Anxiety better, he just wanted a check.

I regret that I did not listen to the warning bells in my head, but thankfully my husband put his down and ended our son’s therapy. Only after starting with a new therapist do I realize how badly I messed up by ignoring my feelings. 2. I was told I could not inquire about my son’s sessions as it was private. My children are minors, and this made me uncomfortable that they were told not to share with me. 3. Our son later told us he was coached for family sessions. These became personal attacks on me despite my husband’s insistence that the facts were incorrect. 4. Once my husband discontinued services, we had the last appointment for my son to achieve closure. My son left very mad, stating that he was told that we had been offered reduced price and didn’t like Mr. Davidson by Mr. Davidson. We complained for three years about the amount we were spending and were never offered a reduced fee. We believe that this was intended to put a wedge between our son and us.

After taking my children to see Mr. Davison, it wasn't long before I had great concerns about how (and what) he chose to discuss with my 11 and 13 year old, even after we agreed that he was not to introduce these sensitive topics until far later on in my kids therapy. I immediately pulled my children from seeing him. Very disappointed, and I would not recommend Mr. Davison.
