Dr. Zulfiqar Hussain, MD

He is great and very knowledgeable. I’ve been going to him for a year now, for HER2 positive breast cancer that had spread to the bones. With his help I’m in treatment with to have 5 years life expectancy. Im grateful for Dr. Hussain.

Dr. Hussain was my oncologist for over six months at the Erie Hillman Cancer Center. He talked down to me and refused to listen to any of my concerns. He met my mother who lives in another time zone at my last appointment. While my mother peppered him with my concerns and various things he had told me, he proceeded to speak to her 'over my head' totally ignoring me. To each of her explicit questions, he asked, 'Who told you that?', which happened about five times. He knew that I had told her these things and he thought that she was out of the loop. I was seething at that point. Luckily I always had a trustworthy person with my at each of my previous appointments, and could verify everything I said was true. It was much worse than I described and it took me ten days to decide that I didn't need this any longer, so I fired him. I switched to Dr. Jan Rothman and couldn't be happier.He treats metastatic cancer patients in black and white. He doesn't comprehend anything else.
