Dr. Zuleikha Vellani, MD

We've been with this practice since they were located on Eugie, well before they moved to the current location on 59th Ave. Our first doctor was Dr. Honing, then Dr. Underhill, and now Dr. Vellani. Dr. Vellani is the most compassionate and caring doctor we've ever had. We always feel respected and she truly listens and uses her head and her heart when she speaks. She's very thorough and explains to us in a concise and thoughtful manner. Dr. Vellani called to check on my husband when he was in the hospital and she was out of the country. Her only flaw is that she works too hard for her patients and I worry about her burning out. Very rarely have we waited for our appointment. When we have waited, we understand that she's taking extra time with a patient who needs her. She's the doctor everyone wants but few of us get..

Dr Vellani is amazing. She cares for my spouse and me. She is receptive to any suggestions that we might give for our care. She listens to what we have to say and then provides us feedback and explains the care we are about to receive. I have been with the original practice for over 20 years and have seen it go through changes - some of the previous staff is kind and friendly though some of the new staff members (front desk receptionist ) can be somewhat unfriendly and rude. I do not like that when you call in to make an appointment you are calling an out of the country call center, I used to be able to call and talk to someone on site. I do agree that there are times that charges come up that we were not aware of for services that we were not explained … such as blood tests or on-site injections. But Dr Vellani outstanding!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vellani. She is so kind, knowledgeable and just down right amazing! I have never had a doctor as caring as she is. She takes the time to actually listen to not only my physical problems but mental health as well.

Received a bill for $232 after I thought what I went to was a routine physical. I was told my first appointment would cost me $100 up front, the appointment was an "interview" and I would have to make a second appointment for my physical. I did just that. My insurance covers 100% of a physical cost and unfortunately, both of the appointments I made were coded by First Family Medical as physicals leaving me to pick up a bill that my insurance would not pay. When I called to have the appointments coded correctly by 1st Family, they assured me everything would be taken care of. 2 years later, my credit monitoring company sent me an alert that I had a bill in collections. When I called to find out what it was, 1st family said they have since changed their systems and no longer had access to view the billing or coding for a 2018 appointment. Where does that leave me? I will not pay a bill that I should not be paying, but what I will do is file a fraud, waste, and abuse case against them.

Dr. Vellani is the best in the WEST valley I will always be greatful for her care,

Dr. Siddiqui is very knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. She really takes her time to listen and help me with my concerns. Every time I have an appointment, I face a long wait, but it is well worth it.

My only complaint is the long wait. Other than that, she seems to be genuinely caring. She takes the time to listen to your symptoms, fears, and needs.
